We are currently investigating issues some players are having on the megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Updated - From 100FPS down to 30 in the last few days - Is it me or do others have this too?

I am playing on PC EU and ESO always worked fine. All I did the last few days was install a few more Skyrim mods, but that shouldn't be the cause. (They only add up to 23MB while I still have 76GBs free on the SSD).

Update: It seems to be an unrelated issue to ESO. A memory leak caused by the latest Windows update seems to be the cause.
Update2: I don't know how, but I fixed it. My RAM usage is down from 99% to 14%, which is normal. FPS are back to 100 in instanced areas and 60-80 in crowded places.

Not just you. I have no idea what they've been doing over the last couple of updates, but it is taking me a hell of a long time to load this game now, in addition to my FPS down below 30 now from 60 in most places and my latency sucks too in high traffic areas.
Far too many characters to list any more.

Yeah, me too. I've gone from 100 to struggling to hit 30 in some zones. It was really bad in Stormhaven on Saturday.

First of all ESO is capped at 100 fps, and its normal to drop from 100 to 30 by moving into a poor optimized zone the game has the most unstable fps I've ever seen.

No matter the zone, I always have fps lag, even in unfurnished homes in unpopulated zones and dungeons. I am playing for three years now and I know what lag caused by zones looks like. Most of the time it doesn't effect my fps as much as my ping when I load into Mournhold plaza or something. Now my fps seem to drop at random.

FPS and not ping, right? Because to me FPS hasn't always been "*** anyway", just recently - unlike ping.

Does it happen in others zones for you too? Greenshade for example? Or in your player home?

Make sure to /reloadui every hour or so to refresh your memory. The more character models that get Rendered, the more build up you have in your system that needs to get flushed out.

I'm surprised @ZOS_BillE hasn't piped in with his generic disable add-on post

But on a useful term, i found using RAMMap from Microsoft helps by clearing standby memory

could also be related to Spectre and Meltdown patches. Some reported that the performance took a hit there on Intel CPUs at least... /shrug

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

    also one more thing.

My brother had serious issues with ESO midweek. Some big Windows update also updated/messed with his NVIDIA graphic card drivers. This made ESO crash every few minutes. Took him a while to uninstall and reinstall his original drivers. He is using an older nvidia card where newer drivers do not work well with ESO.

as your machine is new I suppose ESO wont crash on you, but changed drivers (and eventually not correctly installed ones) can decrease your performance...
