Back-Bar Torug’s, will the enchant proc be Lost?

This is a question I thought of while I’m at work today.
Last night I obtained the Asylum 1H and Shield and I decided to try it out since I use absord magic in my DK Tank Build. This means that my Infused Torug’s Crusher enchantment is relegated to my back-Bar now. My question was in regards to once the infused torug’s Crusher is applied would swapping bars destroy the debuff since I’m breaking my 5 piece Torug’s to switch to 2 piece Asylum?
I feel that the answer is that it will still linger since it is applied to the target and not myself but I’m just looking for some validation to confirm my theory.
