I'm sorry, but it's not long hair for me until it goes past the shoulders. There are many ways to make long hairstyles that do not clip, or at least that -rarely- clip with certain weapons that go on the back, but that's only natural and avoidable.

Complicated animations are not needed, instead of making it completely straight like ESO tends to, give it a little wave to create the illusion of movement and stay away from the shoulders. Many games have made it successfully, here's a quick google search:









I love all the braided ones, I'd love to have more hairstyles like these, they add to the medieval fantasy feel.

Oh my, you know ZOS cannot make good hair - it will clip with the shield and possibly as well with armor and costumes. I am not excited at all.

For all we know this is just the short top part of the hair from that one npc
i really really hope its longer than it looks but who knows atm there is longer in game
