I don't know any MMO in which it's possible to transfer characters (and their successes/possessions) between continents... so if you got something on US servers, you have to grab them again on EU servers.

SWTOR. for all the game's issues, not only accountwide purchases are genuinely accountwide, but you CNA in fact transfer characters between US and EU.

that said, its the only MMO that I personaly know of. WoW doesn't even have the same client between US and EU, you have to buy the game over, to play on EU realms

GW2 does it as well. It's a pretty standard feature in modern MMOs. WoW is an exception because it came out 14 years ago when server technology was much more primitive. There is really no excuse for an MMO released in 2014 to not have the feature though.
Wait, WOW can let you swap servers, is it an limitation on swapping between EU and US?

process of moving an character involves packing up all the data for character and import it on another database.
its an complex task and probably need updates with new features like outfits and housing storage.
i imagine WOW accounts are different between US and EU still the account holds far less data than the character.

You can transfer between servers in WoW, but you can't transfer between continents.

Doesn't affect me, but it's a stupid policy and would be reversed if enough people complained about it. Apparently the risk of losing customers/money was deemed to be lower than the time/money required to implement a transfer process. Nothing wrong with voting with your wallet if you feel you've been wronged.

Maybe the risk of allowing people to game the markets by transferring accounts with millions in coin, gear, resources and other saleable merchandise to higher profit servers was an angle they kept in mind when deciding their policy on it.

Either way there's a policy in place for this sort of thing. So. I mean, vote with your wallet all you want but zos might be confused since you voted "ok" with your wallet when you agreed to the tos and bought the game.

Spent 200 bucks and thinks he's a special lil flower to be taken care off, ...

$200 is a lot of money to spend on one game.

On ongoing server games with subscription options and pay for cosmetics it’s really not even starter money.

Consider $15/month is $180 and the game and expansions should cost $79-$100 new so no $200 isn’t even enough to warrant and entitlement

When someone surpass $800-$1,000 and acts with sense and respect....maybe. The games been out since 2014

Won’t the time differences be an issue? Weekdays they will be working while you’re asleep man then you’ll be working while they’re gaming etc. I wanted to transfer from EU to NA because the EU server host many many many different languages as and an English person, it is extremely hard to communicate with others. You want to leave NA for social reasons but I don’t think you’d find what you’re hoping for with language barriers. (I am assuming your friends are British I’m just saying other players will cause the barrier)

On the contrary, that support khajiit did their job and responded to you in not only a polite manner, but also quite apolegetic and heartfelt.
I'll wager that as good support. Plus ZoS does warn you immediately that characters and items are not transferred between EU and NA.

I believe it was only for "Congested" worlds as they claimed, not every region https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/f4acfd71a5a9a3b2a8852436b2408e1ace628e3f
