You are correct, 50% is as high as the sale goes, so at best it's 2,500 crowns but it's still a LOTToon list:

Banker and merchant worth it IMHO, almost as game changing as the craft bag. -

Can we change the looks to the new ones if we purchased the old ones? Will they be crown crates only? Tied to an event? etc...

I had just the banker for a long time. When I started farming motifs I grabbed the merchant. I was getting wagon loads of items worth nothing or next to nothing. It is much easier to sell them than delete them. Saves a lot of time and keeps my characters in the delves/dungeons where they are farming.
