Question about housing in Morrowind

If a guildie has a house in Morrowind and I want to port to it, if I don't have the Morrowind upgrade, am I able to? Or do I need the upgrade to visit?

You can visit the house but if you leave through the door you'll end up where you were when you ported in and not outside the house in Vvardenfell
