New class ideas for Zenimax to come up with?

    I really think monk has what it takes to be the next class in the game.
    If not, ZOS could at least introduce some kind of unarmed skill line…

    Templars use polearms...
    No, they don't.
    They use spear-shaped magic.
    That is -quite- different from "polearms"... you know, -physical- polearms like have been in use in human history since... well... since some stone age hunter figured out a poke stick works better at the poking through mammoth hide with a flintstone spearhead then just sharpened wood?

    Another polearm-shaped magic, I might say...

    Next you will say it hurts nightblade class identity that other classes can use bows and daggers, huh? :p;) (Because that is what the nightblades "conjured weapons" are - red daggers and a bow). Or that it hurts a fighters guilders identiry if other people can use two handed swords as it detracts from the glory of their dawnbreaker...

    See, I see it the other way 'round - that those "conjured class weapons" should be accompanied by -physical- stamina weapons they are magical conjurations of. And thus... I want stamina polearms (which of course might reuse some animations from the templar line - just with physical poke-sticks instead of spear-shaped holy light!)
    And all the other fun medieval-tech weapons from human history, just to bring way more choices to ESO...
    Sorry I was not clear in my 1st post. What I meant is:
    Spear -> Stamina
    Combat staff (mystic monk style weapon) -> Magicka
    Still nope.
    Any "monk" weaponish bo "combat staff" would still be quite stamina... and we do have the magica staff already. The ones that shoot balls of fire and bolts of lightning and so on...

    The main difference is being where you get your damage from - mystic energies, or musclepower. All polearms, from bo-staves to halberds, from naginata to spears, from poleaxes to war scythes, all those are musclepowered, and thus ought to be stamina weapons.

    Of course, it -would- also be possible to make a melee magic staff... but there isn't really any reason to when you look at the destruction staff skills and see impulse and such that is quite melee-tastic. While a stamina polearm would make a lot more sense, since the armored stamina characters are more logically inclined to seek melee combat as poopsed to the robe-clad mages, right?

    Now, if you wanted to talk about some mystic monk hand wrappings that allow monks to punch with magic power for a magica melee weapon for those contrary enough to want to slug it out at knife range anyhow... that would definitely be a weapon line worth considering. I should know, I considered it. ;)
