Zos, can you get rid of the delay after killing non-agro's and before node picks?

If I kill a deer, squirrel, monkey, frog, snake, etc and then try to pick a flower I get a huge delay time. I think it's a glitch or bad programming. Could you please fix this zos so there is no delay between actions?

    I always thought this was because the player was "in combat" from hitting the rabbit or whatever
    destruction magic is not tanking magic. ice destruction staff must be for magicka dps

    I tend to leave the deer killing until after I make sure there is no chest in the area. ;)

    I agree that this is annoying and should be changed. Shoot a frog and wait 10 seconds to leave combat and be able to harvest, mount, or whatever. Kill and actual enemy mob and drop out of combat as soon as it's dead.

    Dodge Roll your way to the chest. Does not always work, like if you do it too early after combat for you ends, by this I mean the last mob dies, not the game telling you that your out of combat. But it will get you to where you can activate the chest quicker..
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    This is one of the most infuriating things. Yeah it's only a few seconds but it's wasted time. When farming resources its more than enough to take you out of your groove. Seems like something that should be an easy fix as well.

    Nope. Happens on console too. The worst is using the light attack command to dismount at a node or chest and hitting a snake/beetle/frog that you didn't see.

    This actually happens with real enemies as well. If you have a delayed action on the target. For example, hit a skeever with haunting curse and kill it and you have to wait until the curse explodes the second time to leave combat. Or if you kill a troll ad Ilambris procs you have to wait for the proc to end. They need to make it to where you can interact with chests/nodes during combat. Similar to how you can loot crates and backpacks in combat.

    If you are not actually getting hit by anything, you should not be "in combat" in the first place. You should be able to interact with objects/doors, and be able to mount unless you are actually taking damage.

    Which doesn't make sense still since right after killing a whole horde off Welwa, you can pick up the node asap. After killing a deer and it's dead, you get a delay.

      Let me guess. You are on a Warden. If so it is what I call the "Stuck In Combat" bug for both Stamina and Magicka Warden. I have submitted many tickets on it with ZERO response from ZOS. I have quite a few videos of it as well linked in my comments and on my youtube channel. The delay is about 30 seconds. Submit a trouble ticket every single time this happens no matter what.

      It happens on my non-warden characters but my wardens do take significantly longer to come out of combat than other characters.

      What I think this really is is a holdover from pre-launch where things like crawlers and guts had a 1 gold apiece vendor value so locking you into combat mode for a few seconds created a bit of an opportunity cost.

      But in the game's current version it's a really weird penalty.

      What I'd prefer them to do with all critters what they did with the baby netches in Vvardenfell. You press a button to harvest them and otherwise can't interact with them. Things like rabbits and squirrels could still flee, so you'd have to either sneak up on them or chase them.

      Actually, can you get rid of any bug that keeps you locked "in combat" when you're not? Happens quite frequently in pvp too when you can't port because you're "in combat" for no reason.

      in many cases, even after killing a pack of normal enemies, you stay locked in combat for a few more seconds. I think it has to do with combat actions, like a monster set proc or a delayed ability effect.

      Since they are changing the way ground based aoes disappear after combat, I have a feeling this issue is going to get worse. Imagine laying down a wall of elements and having to wait the entire duration to pick a chest or loot a node. People already snipe nodes/chests enough as it is.

      Getting hit by spell or weapon already interrupts the action, there is no reason for "in combat" lock out. It's even worse with a Magicka Warden who goes into combat at any whim like a molecule in the air.

      I've been locked in combat and unable to mount for several seconds because I chose to heal a random player who was at about 10 percent health.

      This is one of my very few pet hates in this game. I think there are even some players who do it on purpose and wait near a guarded node. ( cos some men, Master Wayne, just wanna watch the world burn!).
      It is positively infuriating to be literally standing over a node killing off the mob that's guarding it only to have some $#%$# rush in a take the node from under your feet in that delay while you're waiting to leave combat. I know there are no rules against it but c'mon.... basic social etiquette should apply!

      While it is super annoying, I'm sure they would completely break something that would seem to have no connection.

      Exactly.
      Never had these delays on other characters, but on a warden it happens to me everytime everyday.
      One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the world or me.
