Mmmm I don't think it makes it to the top 10, too many good single player games: Baldur's Gate II, Portal 2, Kotors, Planescape Torment, Morrowind, Alien Isolation, Alpha Centauri, Skyrim, Civilization, Monkey Island... errh too many :/

    It's in my top 5
ESO is for sure on my top 5 all time favorite games list and why!

1.) Eve Online - 2007 to 2014 are to this date my most epic time in gaming. I don't think I'll ever again get a chance to take part of Epic PvP battles in gaming. As I did with Eve during these golden years. I'm pretty sure no other MMO or game will even be able to come close, to producing the epic PvP battles we got in Eve.

2.) Stellaris - This is so far the be all and end all Grand Strategy Sci Fi game maybe that will ever be created.

3.) ESO - Simply IMHO the best MMO of the current day and age. ZOS took a crap show of a game from sorry excuse status, to prue epic stats. Only other MMO that comes close in my opinion is BDO. But the out of this world grind holds that MMO completely back.

4.) ARMA 3 - Simply epic Mil Sim nothing comes close to providing the epic full control Total Battlefield armed service in one package game.

5.) DCUO before SOE changed to P2W Daybreak Studios. This game had me in awe for 2 to 3 years. The freedom of movement and the high quality action combat system that game had was simply top notch back then. Plus being able to play in a world with some of my most favorite heroes and villains. Simply great fun before they turn that game to crap.

    8. Oblivion
    9. CS 1.5/1.6
    10. Skyrim & Fallout New Vegas & Europa Universalis IV @ some patch

Or wait it was ME1 that had the epic opening theme but ME2 was the best game.

It's my favorite of all time
Well i voted favorite of all time, but its tops with Star Wars Galaxies and EverQuest, but that's nostalgia. Obviously ESO is better than those if you compare them side by side now. but at the time those were just as good if not better is some ways. EQ felt like you were in a new world and were actually IN the world and was just amazing back in the late 90's early 2000's. SWG had the best housing and government and social aspect and ESO has the best theory crafting and looks the best obviously.

ugh i hate to even mention WOW because i really dislike it now but when it first launched it was pretty damn awesome, but i cant even feel the nostalgia for that one anymore like i can for the others. there is just no customization or uniqueness with builds like ESO has and i just hate that.

As a Kickstarter for SC it does look like it's going to set a super high bar with it releases. It's already setting bars now in Alpha. I guess at that point. MMO companies will just make their MMOs either super P2W, super Solo/Casual, or able to play on potatos, or all three in order to compete.

Damn I actually need to update my SC launcher. RIP me

    3. Assassins creed 3 (one of my favorite franchises along with ES)
    4. Batman: Arkham Trilogy (hard to pick one)
    5. For nostalgia of my childhood Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon (loved those games as a kid)

    2: Halo 1-3 & Reach
    3: Starcraft
    4: Mass Effect 1-3
    5: Rainbow 6 Vegas 2

Eso is a time sink for me; It does nothing that really makes it stand out, but does a bit of everything.
In terms of multiplayer game, so many others get a spot in front. In terms of pure rpg, its honestly great, but isnt as memorable as say TES III, Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragon's Dogma, Golden Sun, even the Mass effect trilogy that I see more as a shooter; In terms or mmorpgs it would be #2 on my list. In terms of all time favourite it would be around #20-ish.

Top 10. Not many games have changed me quite like this one. Legend of Zelda franchise, Sonic, Final Fantasy, all of those are great franchises and games, but this is my first ever MMO in which I'm really into. I played WoW back in the day but not for long. So this is my first ever MMO in which I'm invested and have now almost 2k hours spent on it. The game has made some radical changes and it's way better than it ever was. And me, being a fan of Elder Scrolls since Arena, I just could not leave this one out.

Somewhere behind the original Legend of Zelda for NES. The first Open world RPG I ever played. :)

In no particular order, my top 5 would probably include: The Legend of Zelda, Mortal Kombat 2 in the arcade, Halo 1, Morrowind, and ESO.

Edit: Shoot, forgot the Phantasy Star Series for sega Genesis (not this new crap). Taught me how to grind. Also Phantasy Star 3 was the first game i played that had multiple endings and consequences for your choices.

I voted top 10 but that is not right. Top 10 Xbox One game but I have been gaming a long time. It is the reason for the timing of my upgrade from the 360. Although I picked it up during the first weekend it was available, I only have 199 hours played. Full time job, full time parent, part time student, arthritic hands and failing eyesight are just a few reasons I cannot enjoy it as much as I would like.

My all time most played video game is probably Heroes of Might and Magic: Windows 95 Edition. Just finished a campaign on that about a week and a half ago.

All time favorite video game series is probably Zork (although that was one game split into three when it was released), KotOR (still have a bit of a thing for Bastila), or Elder Scrolls.

If I include games played in arcades, then Gauntlet would be very high on my list and I also loved Asteroids, Pole Position, Elevator Action, Dig Dug and of course Pac-Man.

If I base my answer on the way the title is worded, video games don't even make my top ten. Should we include sports? They call them games sometimes.

Wow, I feel like Johnny Cash, I been everywhere, man. Anyone else feel nostalgic for Star Wars: Obi-Wan?

I like ESO. I play it a lot. Probably too much. :) I play Eve Online when ESO is down for patches.

In the 80s when I first started gaming, I played Elite on my Commodore 64. That is my favourite game of all time. I played the recent online version but didn't think much of it.

I also enjoyed the non-online Grand Theft Auto series and Football Manager series. I rate the Civilisation series very highly too.

I'd put it near the top of MMOs I've played, probably in second place, but I think I've gained more in-depth enjoyment throughout my life out of a number of theatrical style LARPs and tabletops such as Flashing Blades and my current 5E campaign.
