Valkyn Skoria shoulders on my DK. I picked up Briarheart and crafted a bunch of boney and spikey pieces to go with it, thinking I could at least dye the shoulders in whites and tans to look like bone and have some kind of theme...but no, the glow-in-the-dark lava bits aren't dyeable!

The helmets could stand to be swapped too, but Hide Helmet at least makes those bearable.

Honestly, with both transmute and transmog on the table I'd rather the monster sets drop in a random style, then carry the monster styles over to something else - costume, polymorph, motif, or maybe a combination of the three depending on the original 2-piece style.

you mean the armor we worked hard to earn that looks ***/cool so we want to transmog over it or to it? I like the way vma dw looks but by your logic I cant transmog and if I use them I will have a dps loss...

my main has Necrostaves on both bars. they are ugly, plus tough to tell apart at a glance even after the different enchantment. there are SO MANY awesome staff styles in the game and i've collected many of them, and it's a shame to carry around something i consider ugly when there aren't enough weapon slots for all the styles i think look awesome (let alone acceptable).

if re-skinning my weapons is an option under the new system, that'll be the first thing i do (after farming the currency). then i'll probably run dungeons like crazy to get the monster set stats i've been drooling over so i can be strong without looking out of character.

i'll still enjoy using costumes, but not feeling forced into it -- and still ending up with a near-miss -- is gonna be awesome. there is so much room for customization in this game, it'll be great if i can have the stats i earn and the looks i earn at the same time.

Just because you think somethings ugly, that doesn’t mean ZOS isn’t going to let you change the look of a unique item that is themed very particularly. I seriously doubt it will happen, and I don’t think it should. It’s not like a set that drops from a zone or dungeon that has a style; something that is literally presented as a piece of a defeated monster shouldn’t be changed to look like any old style.

Not really looking forward to grinding out 100's of "transmog stones" to alter every ugly (but useful) piece of equipment I own. They really should have gone with a cosmetic system instead.

With that said, ugly monster sets are the worst.

edit: Well it looks like ZoS is going with a type of cosmetic system after all.

The reason I am really excited by transmorg is that some of the original low level models are way better than highervlevel models. Or any models for that matter. Especially in medium armor.

We can't even currently convert everything Imperial or Morag Tong....You guys are putting the cart before the horse. Prepare to whinge and complain when it goes live on the PTS. Did they actually say that we'll be able to transmog weapons? Because somehow I believe this system will only apply to armor and not weapons. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
