Maomer raiders took a wrong turn and ended up in Malabal Tor (I want the Maomer motif)

I was fishing in Malabal Tor, a place that people who got Explorer and Savior of Nirn titles way back in 2014 tend not to visit all that often, and saw this crazy looking place across the bay and thought, "What the @Nestor is that?" (sorry for cursing)

Well, it's the Enclave of the Hourglass. I immediately wondered why the Maomer that are crawling all over the coast didn't invade that nice, rich looking place rather than some fetid caves and jungle trees. I guess the visibility range fog caused them to crash on the sandbars.

It made me remember back when Sea Viper disguise was one of the only cool "motifs" available to those who wanted their toons to look a little different. It's off that the Maomer motif was never added since it's already got plenty of in-game assets. The piping dyes really well, that I recall.

My hope is that Pyandonea somehow plays into the Altmer storyline, which I was initially very disappointed in given all the other incredible possibilities all over Tamriel, but given that I want the game to expand to Akavir and want to play a Lilmothiit I suspect my opinion is in the minority.

Seriously, though, Maomer. That castle full of treasure is at most 200 yards away. Just swim there, you're sea elves.

    How long do you think it'd take us to go to every zone and ask everyone in /z to come to Khenarthi's Roost and stand in formation and do /jumpingjacks?

    I'm expecting the Maormer motif - possibly updated to make it a bit more distinct from Ancient Elf - to be part of Summerset Isles.

    You can get Maormer armor from the dropped sets in the Tempest Island group dungeon. So with transmog coming, perhaps that'll work out for you.

    Perhaps ironically, it's the Maomer's alliance with the Second Aldmeri Dominion that leads to the Maomer being completely ousted from Colovia. So even if by some chance the Order hadn't easily repelled the Maomer, it would have ultimately been an empty victory.

    That, good sir, is an excellent point.

    Embarassingly, when the Gold Coast was released I spent a simply crazy amount of time trying to jump over that damned wall into Colovia (another nice disguise) and also to leap so far and so fast from the cliffs that I could make it to Malabal before getting eaten by slaughterfish.

    BTW, I am so pleased that the only prediction I ever made about future content that turned out to be true was that the planes "when you right click" to pan out further and see Coldharbour would get filled up as the daedric war intensified, with Clockwork City and obviously 3 more soon to come.

    I'd still prefer to get on with filling up the map so we can get to other continents, though. I think ZOS is bonkers not to seize on the opportunity to go further out into Nirn where they can create content barely constrained by previous lore and really make their own mark. Plus, it'd be cool. Look how much they like taking us back in time in dream sequences to previous Eras.

    I think they're doing it on purpose; last I heard they were waiting on Akavir until they went there in the single player games. :cry: I'm still holding out hope we will at least see Ghost!Savirien-Chorak or Flashback!Versidue-Shaie at some point.

    It's similar to, but not identical to the ancient elf motif. Maormer motif is a bit darker (naturally), sleeveless, and much better for sea travel. It's like how the mage's guild costumes (from the crown store) are mostly the same as ancient elf, but there's a few differences like the shoes.

    Well, when they first designed the game there were the racial motifs and then stuff NPCs and mobs got. It expanded beyond that basically because we begged and begged for it. "Mage's Guild Shoes" is something I'd not heretofore considered.

    Now I think it's fair to say that with treasure chest RNG we've reached the logical conclusion of ZOS's weird desire to make everything unfun. They must all sit around at a hug table and roll dice and just laugh and laugh, delighted by the numbers that come up, endlessly entertained.

    Fishing while sick is interesting.

    Odd that the justice system clothing just got introduced and not added to, given their story about how easy it was for their team to come up with it all super fast as an afterthought. Oh, wait, it's not in the crown store.
