Okay. How many of you have effectively soloed Craglorn's Group Quests/Areas? How many of you found it easy? What character did you find it easy on?

My main, the character I do everything on is a squishy Stamblade that struggles with sustain. Basically, a glass cannon. The only PvE zone to this day I haven't thoroughly gone over is Craglorn because of it's group suggestive content. I've done a couple Delves and a few Quests on my own, and today I wanted to do Shada's Tear since the last time I was there I was in a Guild Group but no one in it wanted to go anywhere near it. I managed to get to the Nedic General Boss fight. It literally felt like Maelstrom Arena. Large room, Adds spawning on both sides, and these stupid Spectres that hit you with a beam DoT that both hurts and snares, and they both spawn on opposite sides of the room. Then when the actual Boss fight starts even MOAR of the same spawn with him and it's just an instant wipe cause I can't manage everything.

I know this is a Group zone and I'll be trying to go back with one from my Guild. (or maybe I'll just have my easymode Sorc do it..) But I also know just all of you keep complaining everything's too easy. So tell me, why is it easy to you.

I've done almost all of it solo. Some I haven't been able to do - yet (I'm looking at you, Trials of Rahni'Za). For some public areas there were others there when I did them. Some were pretty easy, and some hard. I put the difficulty level around that of the non-DLC normal "1" dungeons, to somewhat more difficult. My main's a CP capped non-pet mag sorc - though I sometimes give the pets (not even morphed) a try when nothing else works for me. I've played ESO since PC launch, but am a "casual" who doesn't do end-game PvE.

That's the thing, I know for sure I could've survived that fight my first try if I were on my MagSorc. Power Surge keeps you alive so long as you keep doing damage. Your Familiar helps pull some aggro away from you, and at worst, Ward is a powerful shield. Why I made my Stamblade my Main and not my Sorc I don't know..

I've soloed whole Craglorn on my CP300 sorc, including first trial bosses. However I could not solo those world encounters (inside a red halo) with a caster to defend from lots of archers, warriors and gargoyles. Caster ends up dying.

I've solo'd all of the craglorn delves, did the quest line in a group of two, and have yet to do the Anomoly's as they are just too hard on my MagBlade.

This was of course after the changes :(

I solo'ed most of it over summer 2014 on my Sorc... I remember Shada's being the hardest one then. Certainly wasn't easy, but at least it didn't feel like the game was trying to make it easy for you (because it wasn't even meant to be done solo -.-).
When Upper Craglorn was released I leveled up by duoing most of it.

Just started this yesterday on my magblade and it's fun up until the world bosses which I have trouble with so I'm going to have to wait around for help but rather enjoyable after avoiding it for a year or so

I took my "does everything the main can't do" MagSorc into Shada's Tear, and it was definitely an experience. Its a great example of Craglorn still being difficult, and the Bosses even have mechanics! I was downed about half a dozen times before I finished the Quest because I forgot to dodgeroll or attacked when I shouldnt have or didnt stand in the right place.

My other characters have no chance in soloing that place. MAYBE my StamDK, i dunno.

I feel for all of you that played Craglorn before it was made solo friendly.

Since One Tamriel I've done most of them solo - except Shada's Tear and Rani Za which I completed duo each time - on 4 characters, including a Stamina NB. Latest was a Stamina Warden without Vigor unlocked. If you have problems with direct damage mitigation on stamina character I suggest using 2H for Brawler. It works like a charm in those large trash pulls.

Ergh, I've not done craglorn because of that too, main is a Stam blade. I've thought changing up the build so its more of a grinding build than a glass cannon so that might help I guess?

What's the setup? Maybe other sets might be better off. I had hundings and automaton for the longest time (was just comfortable in it) but I think mechanical acuity and briar heart might work better?

Shada's Tear is one anomaly, IMO. It always was one of the most difficult group instances in Craglorn... the end fight used to be a real pain, back in the day

I wouldn't get discouraged by it, just find a second person to go with for clearing it and it should be accomplishable, again IMO.

almost soled everything with my stamsorc except Packleader Sigmund-boss at Hircine's Haunt-very hard after you got him at 40-50% health where he spawns wolfs and last boss of Skyreach Catacombs-High King Durac.
maybe both doable with petsorc, gotta try when absolute nothing else to do

I did everything but WBs solo, and this was before I had any kind of gear, or good CP.

Have done it yep. The main quest is surprisingly easy after OneTam which was a let down.

The world bosses etc are a nice challenge, but all doable if you have your vMA game on point
