Health Regen Error

As in error, I mean the tooltip on the character page. Mine currently says I regen 1577 every two seconds, yet I know I regen closer to 4k in that time. I was wondering if anyone knows what the actual regen compared to the displayed number is, or has a link to somewhere explaining it, as I've been unable to find anything. Wanted to come up with a couple new builds, but it will be difficult if I don't have the real number.

The amount displayed on your character sheet is your in-combat regen--out of combat regen is a different figure.

I've never found the in-combat health regen number to be inaccurate, but things change.

One thing to note is that with defile now affecting health regen, it's much weaker overall.

No, the 4k is my in combat regen as I have never bothered looking at it outside of combat. Which is what threw me off as I figured all 3 regen stats would be the actual in combat regen. But I haven't been able to find out if this is a tooltip error or a different kind of error.

EDIT: Okay, apparently it's a tooltip error from what I can tell. Decided to test boosting it out with that "Bowl of "Peeled Eyeballs" from the Halloween event. Item says it would raise my recovery by 468 for 2 hours, which would put me at 2,045 recovery, yet my recovery goes to 2303 from that one item, but I will get to the bottom of it some other time I guess. And yes, I know about other passives that boost it, but nothing increases it by that much that I have on this toon.

EDIT EDIT: Okay, apparently eating that food and retesting out combat did something to reset my regen to what it says. Now I'm curious as to what I did before that glitched me to heal that fast.
