Giving gifts to mortals is one of the things the daedric princes are known for. It's probably the most common interaction we have with them in games.
I mean sure a lot of those gifts have conditions or consequences attached or are highly likely to blow up in your face (literally or otherwise), but a gift is a gift right?

You'd be a fool to trust Meridia! If your from the base game your an undead visage from Coldharbor. All Meridia does is devour & torture souls of the undead & daedra...
