lots of players cheating on grahtwood

there are a lot of players cheating on the Brackenleaf beach on Grahtwood. i went there to get some carapaces for a quest and i hardly could find any mudcrab. at this moment there's two groups of cheaters that somehow managed to create a lot of automatic actions and they are all doing exactly the same route and actions, dozens of them. zos should do something about this.

Nothing is going to be done mate. You can find bot trains in the same spots all over the continent. Sometimes the same bots with the same account names. They don't get banned. There are posts on these forums that you can search for reporting bots and even having videos with their names. Many of those bots still exist today and have been sighted recently.

i'm sure that they are using some bot for cheating, yes. i've been there watching for a while and none of them acts like some human on a keyboard. they are all clearly cheating and cleaning all the area for those who are trying to play.

Yup, it's a bit train. Ran into them myself a week or two ago while doing the same quest I believe.

that's really ridiculous for a game that is still active and with people dedicating many real time on it. i tried to report as many as i could. i'm going to check it from now on just to see if the same cheaters continue there, if so... maybe i'm the one playing in the wrong way and maybe this is no longer a game for me. not that i'd quit because of it, but it's a nice incentive to play much less and no longer put money on this :)

doesn't work that way. i already noticed them when i needed to use that place for a quest, and if i turn off your monitor i'll remember them when i need to drop the prices on some items from now on. also, since there is a huge group of copy cats doing exactly the same thing over and over... well... we can't even call it creative but just dumb and intrusive :)

anyway they can always be dumb (or creative like you call them) on a single player game ;)

In your case, you might need something stronger. I recommend Peril Sensitive Sunglasses.

Seriously, just report them. I reported several of them at that location a while back on PC/NA. Yes, the same ones that are probably still there on PC/NA. Bots are everywhere in this game. Almost literally. I ran across one in Betnikh just today. All you can do is report them.

I noticed a bot train in the rift when I was working on master angler. They were attacking trolls and saber cats, i found i could pull the trolls away with ranged attacks and the train would just move on.
If reporting isn't working you can organize and break their routes so the behavior is less profitable.

Plenty of bots get banned, but it isn't going to happen the moment you report them, and nothing prevents the bots from opening new accounts and running the same sort of characters (often with the same or similar names) in the same places. Don't let them spoil your enjoyment of the game.

I've wondered if you could gather enough people around the bots and spam enough animations, if it would result in crashing the client and kicking them off the server.

I guess everyone would get kicked off, but it would be worth it.

Yeah, I had same problem with this quest month ago, few seconds of killing mudcrabs turned into five minutes of searching for any. Reported them bots ofc, but seems like no one cares.

Ehh.. I really doubt people at ZOS don't know what software those people use. How hard is to hire people to develop a "patch" preventing from installing this bot software?
I realise that probably sooner or later some new bot software would appear online.. but still

    - Breton SorcMag dps [She's got an identity crisis, but I believe in her.]

    And..
    - High Elf SorcMag dps [It's quite possible his daddy was a Nord.]

It is a matter of priorities.

I figure they see that most players, on all platforms, don't care, or at least don't care enough to report them. If bots and cheating were something that was costing them money and players, they would be all over it. Priorities.

players who cheat usually are the same players who don't pay for anything, by other hand, players who don't like cheaters are players who support the game and pay for stuff when they can. so... if players who don't like the cheaters get annoyed by the cheaters, zos would start to lose some money.

when players feel that cheaters start to take over the game, naturally they start losing interest. so... it should be a priority ;)

Sorry, but I'd rather not have ESO monitor what software I install on my computer. Or run over all installed software when I fire it up.

I just wish all the reported bots moves to Cyrodiil. I officially declare Cyrodiil not part of Tamerial. If PvErs don't go there and bots don't go anywhere. Then why do we have Cyrodiil? I mean us PvPers would be glad to solve the Bot Problems. If ZOS just move the reported bot trains to Cyrodiil. I mean if PvErs don't like Cyrodiil (no offense) Then we know bots don't like Cyrodiil. Bots would learn if ZOS moves them to Cyrodiil. Free AP to. Or let us PvPers have battle grounds all over the map, like it was promised long ago. If it gets us in trouble so be it. But we us PvPers will be glad to solve the Bot train for no payment. We to don't like bots. Just wish ZOS would let us PvPers do the work and help them out to. But only with bot trains in PvE and PvP.

I remember the old days, when you could keep the mark of the worm even when the battleground match in arcane university was over ... then quit the match and explose all these damn bots.

Oh so move them to Cyrodiil and make PVP players deal with longer queues because bots are taking up slots that would otherwise be used by human players? We are NOT Gamemasters and it isnt up to PAYING CUSTOMERS to spend their time policing the game. We need real GM's who take real action.
