NEW LIFE FESTIVAL - OUTSTANDING!!!

ZOS!!! Wonderful Event!!

I am very pleased that I do not feel I must participate in the holiday event. I am glad there are some subtle additions for folks that want something to do/sell ;) , Further, the changes to the festival events to make them less tedious, (not forcing us to go back to drink the mead) INSPIRED!

Should all the subsequent holidays be the same, I will look forward to simply ENJOYING them!!

By not making them feel compulsory, I feel it is more of a relaxed experience that puts me in the holiday spirit!

Thank You, and Happy Holidays

This is my first one and I'm enjoying it. Got some furniture, motifs, recipes. And the various events are both fun and challenging.

And who can say no to double XP !!

I might be wrong or I don't remember it properly, but I think that all events this year had exp thing given as memento so it could be used anytime and anywhere.

This is my second one. The only event that I really don't like is the lock picking one. Otherwise, this is the sort of event that I like. It is more than just standing in some dungeon killing the boss for a loot bag, that's for sure.

I have enough characters that there are some that have not done the event, yet.

Last years New Life festival made you return to Eastmarch and drink a mug of mead every 2 hours after your XP bonus expired.
FYI.... It's the ONLY NEW thing to the New Life Festival...Such a shame.

Well, other than the furniture. And the memento version of the consumable drops.

    I agree!

I skipped last year's Festival because I had just started playing and my very first character was still questing around Bleakrock Isle. But I'm definitely playing catch-up this year and I'm enjoying the combination of lots-to-do and no pressure to do it if I don't feel like it.

Yes yes it's nice, but I wish that it will be a bit more winter-related in the future, something like a sled race for example :)

I wish our characters could do cannonballs at all waterfalls. It would make for a hilarious group photo montage.

First day. It might be my imagination, but the drop rates always seem better at the beginning of the event. By the end of the event, it seems to take forever to get good drops.

I am not sure.. My drop rates on the first day of Witches' Festival sucked really bad.
Not that I am after some runeboxes or else.. just skinchanger style materials and motifs..still.
    I am shocked! ;)

    Guessing higher rates
have run 4 characters, 3 of them got rune boxes
my Warden just now finished the last quest, opened all boxes in a batch

    got skinchanger belt and shoulders
    2 juggler's knives runeboxes
    2 sword-swallower's runeboxes

have been reasonably lucky in previous events, but that seems a little beyond the previous ones

Aye.. I think when it comes to runeboxes..apart from this Bather's Towel costume and other version of the hat.. I've got all, now I've been getting doubles! it's crazy because I wasn't even counting on those..just skinchanger, you know.

    Ahh and of course furniture...
    I've run 3 characters.

this event was good call, there is "No Pressure" or being forced, play those event are optional, others games got me burnout with same event and no yearly updates. only few games do have new contents but too limited.

Personally I found fishing to be the most tedious. Though watching people run from one spot to another was humorous.

Fishing would be the most... relaxing one.. if not the constant "fight" over the fishing hole ;)

lol...as I'm still leveling toons I find fishing rather boring. I figured I would pick it up later when I was in completionist mode. Today though, I realized that it would be great to do while watching something on my second monitor.

And when everyone stops fishing to do the dolmen and then all run back to the water. I found that funny.

I love the memento-versions of the knives/torches! Still have to get knives/sword but hey, first day, first character.
The portable XP-jug is great as well.

Wasps, wolves and encroaching wildlife are a major PITA, though. Please turn down spawn times! A lot!

No fooling or sarcasm, I am so pleased with the way this event has turned out. Love all the thought put into the changes, like they listened to our feedback, and that is a greater gift than another hat in a rune box. ;)

Very good, so I don't have to do that with 6 chars again to get new achievements and recipes, just my Warden needs it and maybe some questing for new hats and stuff (I hope I can buy almost everything on guild traders).
