Bots are Breeding in Bal Foyan x_x

I usually harvest in Bal foyan, the choice zone for many harvesters. Its no surprise to see one or two bots running the loop around the bank at Dhalmora wayshrine. I usually just report them and carry on with harvesting. But this morning i found 6 bots in total harvesting around Bal Foyan. Some I've seen 3 days in a row.

I'm not sure who is responsible for taking out all this trash, but it seems to be more common than not that bots are generally left alone these days.

I agree that ZOS needs to do something more pro-active towards bots. I'm getting sick of reporting them only to see them multiply (or so it seems)
The Rivenspire bot train has been killing harpies for weeks now. Last I checked there were 12 of them! (PC NA)

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom any chance of getting a GM back in-game like we had several weeks ago, to deal with the bots?

They do seem to ban the bots you report, but there are so many of them and it's so tedious to report them. I feel you need to write a detailed report for them to take it seriously (i.e. the bot is repeating a specific motion every few seconds, is at this location, etc., just so they know you aren't trolling).

They need a GM monitoring the top harvesting locations regularly.

Bots are ruining the market in this game.

The bot train in Betnik on xbox na is just insane at least 10 to 15 sorcs with pets just doing lightning form farming wolves.

I spent a fair amount of time a few days ago reporting 25+ botters in Grahtwood. PC NA. That was just the tip of the bot train -- there was way more than 25. They will probably get a slap on the wrist (if that) and be back at it in a few days.

And yes, they were botting - a fair number of them got stuck in a tree and were running in place...I'm sure for hours.

Ran across a train in that same zone killing mudcrabs near Brackenleaf. Kind of annoying since the reason I was there in the first place was to collect stuff for a quest from said mudcrabs while I was in the area for the Brackenleaf quests.

Also kind of amusing watching a whole platoon of templars dive onto a mudcrab and stab it with their spears all at the same time.

Kind of disheartening how easy it seems to be to get away with cheating the game. There are a few key areas where you can log in and check at any time and have a guarantee you will find a bot. Bal Foyan, Rivenspire, and Grahtwood. Please do something, Zos

For an easy way to report bot trains, 'Bot Scanner 2000' is a very good, user-friendly add-on which saves a lot of time, especially if you're trying to report a large train. It sends a very detailed report that includes time and exact location.
It can be downloaded from Minion.

Personally, I am already an unwilling unpaid bug tester, I'm not going to be an unpaid GameMaster too. If they REALLY cared, they would have GameMasters on every day, playing alongside the community and investigating the starter areas which are notorious for botting. I saw 27 petsorcs botting in Betnikh, I laughed, kept questing.

Moral of the story, Do not waste your gameplay time doing the dev team's job. You are already forced to do it with each patch.

Just like in Cyrodiil, if they actually played their game, it wouldn't be the laggy mess it is. The fact I lag during a 5v5 on 100MB internet the same amount as a year ago when I only lagged during populated sieges on 50MB internet is disgusting right now.

Bal Foyan is my home too... I sell, bank, research and such there as I own Humblemud.

i also stopped bothering to report bots.

i've wasted far too much time for zero visible results.

it's not up to paying customers to deal with the problem anyway.

they need to employ more gamemasters to police their own servers and leave the players out of the equation.

I think it is fairly well known where the most active bots are, day after day.

Betnikh, Auridon, and others I am sure that could be named in about a minute.

When I see really low levels for the bots (on PS4 NA) it does give me some hope action is being taken. However, the other day I saw several characters with "garbage" names up in the level 30+ range. That to me speaks to the reports NOT being acted on. Or, I guess, players giving up on the reporting.

With 10 or so known active bot areas, I would think one GM could visit those locations as part of a daily loop. Head to location, ban who you see, and move to the next zone. With daily action, maybe some of the botters give up. Or maybe that is happening now and the money from goldselling is enough for the bots to come back even if they were banned twice a day.

At this stage, even every few days would make a huge difference. Most of the harvesting bots I see tend to run the same loop for a few consecutive days. I used to think that when they disappeared the report i put in was finally noticed and acted on, but then i realized that whoever was running the bot program may have just wanted their pc for other things.

There are add-on listing player names in front of you or where you pointing at and with middle mouse click on the names it generates the report with the exact location. I just reported 10+ bots today. Was quick.

Solutions:
1. GM's port bots into cyrodil as mercs, for all 3 factions to kill
2. GM's appear in the sky like Zeus and lightning bolt the crap outta them for the whole zone to see.
3. GM's place a daedric prince in the bots path and let it wipe the forest floor with the blood of the unbelievers. Limited time only with zone wide warnings to stop random players walking into it. It would need to be unkillable or it may soon find a raid group waiting next to the bots and would die before killing all the bots.

4. Designate them as bots which turns them pvp. Fighters guild pays a bounty for each bots head you post upon a pike.
