I've been making scenarios in my head out of boredom after work one day and I thought "Hey, people are always arguing and namecalling each other on who's a potato so why not pit them against each other?".

By this, I mean pitting PvP and PvE players against each other in Cyro and also compare which side can score higher points in vMoL or any other 'endgame' trials.
It would be very, very insteresting to witness the outcome of it all.

PS: I'm just doing this for fun. Hopefully no one will try and flame me for this lol.

Going to start an argument I'm sure but... I could see the PvE players doing better in PvP than the PvP ones in PvE.

To bad most of the best pvers are also some of the best pvpers bc good players play the whole game. Only bad players stick to one side and refuse to do the other or learn.

Or, or... some people have busy lives, jobs, families and only have time to hop on some PvP for a few hours a week.

I foresee the PvPers altough being able to do just as well in PvE as the PvEers, losing, because they refused to change gear, skills, and remove poisons from weapons Joking aside, good players are good players, so then it's just a matter of gear, familiarization with content, and group composition.

And who are going to be better players?

The people the play just a few hours a week doing a quest here and there or jumping into pvp for a little to get a few kills or take a keep.

Or the players that play a lot to master PvP to get high AR and do trials and vet dungeons.

My point was if you take the best against the best you will find they are for the most part the same people. A lot of the great players I know and see in pvp are also flawless and have trial skins. So it would be a little pointless to pit the same players against each other.

Now if we just took only pve players that don’t touch pvp and only pvp players that don’t touch pve we would have the same thing happen. The pvers would die to pvp only and pvp players would wipe none stop to vMoL

As someone who took a PvP based guild into PvE a few times it really doesn't go as you would think.
Not saying it's all players, but many of the "PvE is easy you just stand and do a rotation vs scripted events" crowed were a little shocked how hard that turns out to be.

As someone who took a PvP based guild into PvE a few times it really doesn't go as you would think.

Of course, I was just poking fun - any content needs practice, knowing mechanincs, knowing one's rotation, good team work, etc.

At first i thought you meant a game mode where pve players and pvp players test themselves against eachother. Like a labarynth where solo pvpers have to gank small group pvers that are trying to make their way through the maze and beat mini bosses. Like Imperial City but actually designed for players to focus on just pvping or just pveing

Pvp'ers tend to be more flexible and responsive, so eventually they will find a way to overcome any pve, but there would be lots of salty threads on the forums while they were loosing because something is 'unbalanced or broken'. (Even if it isn't)

Some pve'ers would min/max into the (group) role of pvp spy, join the pvp'ers who were meant to oppose the pve'ers and sabotage the immanent massacre. In pve this is called 'knowing the mechanics'. (Even if it takes no skill)
