Except game does not work the way it is supposed to and stuff can hit you during this window or even during the dodge roll for reasons
I dont know what happend in last months to dodge and if its related to lags, but in past you could always chain dodge rolls with vigor in middle or smth and never be hit (by dodgeable stuff). This is simply impossible now without any intended (and noted) change.

So at what point in the animation does the 100% dodge chance leave? Or for how long after the animation?
Does anyone know the full mechanics of dodge chance after a roll dodge? It seems that during the roll animation their chance is 100%, but as they’re getting back up it’s a lot higher than shuffle’s 15% but it isn’t quite 100% either. Like while they have that root immunity from roll dodge they also have a passive 50% dodge chance that stacks with shuffle or something...
Does anyone know the full mechanics of this?

The animation clearly ends but the caster still has the dodge buff on him, which allows people to use dodge roll as a guaranteed damage mitigation buff, rather than a defensive manuever.
Good players abuse this to force people to play defensive. And playing defensive means you're gonna die a slow, painful death, so Its a no no.
For this very reason Im using fossilize now.
