10 Million Stories Event - Duplicate Crown Store Non-Combat Pet

Today I received a duplicate non-combat pet (Imperial War Dog) from a reward box. I didn't have the pet prior to the event, but received it on Day 1. Today on Day 3 I received it AGAIN from a box, but of course since I had it already, nothing happened (no notification of it being added to my collections either). I thought ZOS said this could not happen?
