Would this be possible? The world would feel a bit more full but probably more unstable too?

Motherball✭✭✭✭When I first heard about ESO it was from a very old “10 reasons to try ESO” video where one of the reasons was cross-platform and I thought that was really cool, finally everyone stopped arguing and decided to put it all aside for the betterment of the industry and the games themselves, but nope.
Its possible but the console companies dont like each other and the players love to target each other as cheaters or kids, so there is never any progress made. Its sad imo.Edited by Motherball on December 3, 2017 5:02AM0 -

It will never happen.
Even if by some unholy miracle it did, the server hamsters (which can barely manage anything in prime time anyway) would probably commit hara kiri.Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then the wolves came. Now I am an eagle and I fly in a different universe.

It is possible but yes, they lie and say other nonsense, Microsoft and Sony got along for ff11 to be cross platform.....just saying. It worked out really well.....the reason cross platform is not a thing anymore is to create....well screw it not gonna go all long story.

✭✭✭✭✭Even if they all got along, the PC players would have to lose addons, because, especially Sony, had such a hard time with mods changing the game in Skyrim. I seriously doubt they would ever let addons be featured in thier games on thier console. So, right there, that idea is out... and I say that as someone who plays on ps4 and loves Sony. They have been shown to be hard headed and stubborn when it comes to that.
I assume PC players don't want to lose addons, and if that were to be a condition for cross platform , players would revolt.
As cool as the idea is, there's too many roadblocks in place.

I don't know what to believe. I have read articles that have this the other way around for other games. So both companies disallow this for specific games.

✭✭✭I play on Ps4, xb1, and pc. The player base is completely different on each platform. It would be a nightmare if xb players got on Ps4 they would ruin it. It's not about who's better it's just a very different community.
If you have a friend that has another platform try it.

This was something that was very publicly spoken about a lot during FFXIV's re-launch both on gaming sites and within the official forums and beta testing groups. The title went on to be cross platform just fine between PS3/PS4 and PC and it still is, ..XBox was the only one left out of it because the director at SquareEnix refused to designate separate servers by platform as demanded by Microsoft.love is love0 -
