Precursor doesn't know his left foot from his right

The Precursor sends you to Riften to retrieve his left leg, but when this leg is put in the construction framework it is on the Precursor's right side. The next quest given states that it is to retrieve his right leg.

Is this a bug, or is the old boy just a bit confused?

I think they figure that players would get confused and be unable to complete the achievement if the "left leg" was on the right side.
