But not if it means that you get *** by RNG. I've completed Bloodroot HM many dozens of times as tank and as DPS. We've one-shot it with zero deaths most of those times. But despite all that--despite all that experience, if the lava placement RNG decides to screw us, there is nothing we can do about it except wipe. And that's just not right. At the end of the day, player ability should be the deciding factor in whether or not you clear, not luck.I wold like the future dlc dungeons to be similar where the mechanics are not always repeatable so completing the chalange grants satisfaction of great amount.
Tanking is my thing , and i love to do vet dungeons without healers . However the HM of Bloodroot Forge pulled my nerve strings A LOT . The lava is so RNG and my dps friends were constantly dying , however after several attempts we did it and it felt great.

Bloodroot HM is easier with tank+3DD, we made no-death run this way deliberately, the same goes for Imperial city dungeons.
vDSA and vFalkreath are the same with or without healer, though with some really high DPS you can skip some mechanics too.
Mazzatun is something different: Its last boss on HM is much easier with tank+3DD, but Xalnur really punishes stamina players when he starts to roar, magsorcs though, not a single scratch.
Im yet to try HM CoS with tank +3DD (still looking for 3 DDs brave enough , but i think its completely doable with good mana regen on a tank for constant purge for the whole group, it should be easier with healer though.

I don't understand those like you.
I had gotten into a casual vAA run a little while ago and that final boss had my hands tense, trembling. Even wanted to cry a little after wiping at the last million health during the execute phase. When we finally cleared it, I was not joyous or satisfied. Especially since I ended up not getting that one single Infallible Aether Ring I needed.
So yeah, I personally can't really hop onto the bandwagon of wanting more content where you're "constantly dying" and it's "pulling my nerve strings A LOT".

Haven't managed to do the HM yet, but on my 1st vet dungeon run we got the boss to about 15% health on 1st attempt and 10% on 2nd attempt with the HM on, but the other people were in a hurry so they decided to skip the HM on 3rd attempt. One thing I don't understand is how the bosses one shot me while at full health, full stamina and blocking, right after casting ingenous shield. Is there any enrage mechanics involved that I've missed? Does their damage increase as the fight progresses? I've only recently started playing the dungeons after dedicating almost 3 months to vMA farming and PvP so maybe my reflexes are not attuned to tanking again yet, but that's really frustrating. I mean I kept the bosses relatively stationary, avoided the lava as best as I could, avoided the falling roof, yet out of the blue got hit as if I wasn't blocking. This hasn't happened in any content I've done. Should I roll dodge the boss and mini-bosses heavy attacks instead of blocking them?

There is no RNG involved in lavas. The boss(es) throw the lava in the direction of one of the players. Until the second boss, I have always managed to stack lavas exactly where I wanted them.
Once the second add spawns it becomes a little trickier since he can throw lavas while the other boss is throwing rocks A.K.A Tango.
Yes, it becomes increasingly difficult to stack lavas the more bosses are alive, but that does not mean it is RNG.
It's simply difficult.
