Opened a ticket over a week ago and no response so here I am.
Facebook currently advertising up to 50% off Xbox Morrowind.
Steam is about 20% cheaper than the ESO own store.
Only version compatible is the ESO store version which is $99 AUD.
Ex-long time sub, beta player and early release player.
Still cant get an answer about the disparity. Huge disappointment.

ZOS does not control promotions resellers offer for the game.
I would keep an eye out for some possible discounts of both the game and crowns around black Friday. Not a guarantee but very possible.0 -

it controls its own store yes. but if microsoft decides to have a sale that doesnt coincide with one of zenimaxs they cant do anything about that.0 -

The ESO store is probably run by Bethesda Softworks, and Bethesda Softworks sets prices, promotions, and other distribution details. That all sounds like the tasks the the Publisher would do. If so, ZOS customer support would have to send an email over to Bethesda to ask your question. You might get a faster answer by writing to Bethesda directly.
