I feel like the Dominion has the best vision for a united Tamriel.

DC just seems like a lot of squabbling and infighting, and EP is a step away from its own civil war.

No faction is perfect, but of the three leaders Ayrenn has the best vision for reform and the future of Tamriel.

But on the other hand, lul thalmor are bad xDDDDDDDDDDDD

Actually... None of them. But I just like Ayrenn. And khajiits. And I'm kinda tired of Skyrim fanboys who worship Talos and hate altmers (cause all of them are members of 4th era Thalmor, amirite?)
That being said, AD morning cap strategy is pathetic.

fighter guild murdered their own guild master.
mage guild dealt with uncle sheo and sell their guildmate for 2 skill points.

i'm guessing Morag Tong is the most law-abidding faction in the game.

not really sure if there are good guys. Ebonheart just recently decided to step away from slavery, and we can see that those problems can't be swept under the rug, and there are still people asserting their right to deprive other sentient beings of rights. the Dominion has racism as a basis of their model; the ruling Altmer seem to tolerate "lesser elves" for political reasons but need to subjugate the "immature" races for their goal. i voted Covenant because they seem to have a lofty (though naive) ideal but a lot of their folks are still learning how to think of Orcs as people, but now that i'm working through EP on Cadwell's Silver i'm seeing Daggerfall doing a lot of nefarious "ends justifying the means" type of stuff.

for the record, i grew up in circumstances that place racism near the front of my mind when evaluating "goodness", as it's a clear violation of The Golden Rule and tends to impose restrictions on others before controlling oneself. to me, all forms of "evil" fall under limiting another individual's pursuit of happiness.
i focused on my second point of evaluation because as far as outright cruelty, it's kind of a wash.

at the risk of newly coining a phrase that will ring true forever, let me say that "war is hell" ;)

In my time doing quests in all 3 regions, I never found a single quest where Ebonheart was doing anything particularly heinous, meanwhile it was either the dominion or the covenant that literally tried to decimate an entire population of Argonian eggs and prevent them from even being born. Yeah, let's just kill ALL future argonians whether they may or may not join the war at some point a full generation down the line. That sure isn't despicable.

Yeah, the dark elves are scum of the earth too, and I would be much happier if they weren't a part of my alliance, but that's not something in my control.

    Ebonheart Pact
The Ebonheart Pact because that's where my main characters are! :p;)
(By the way, you again messed up the poll colors! :p;):D )

Of course, actually none of them are "good guys". They are all shades of grey.

Aldmeri Dominion are fighting because they think they are the aedras gift to tamriel, and deserve to rule over everyone else, and do that by getting busy babykilling in Shadowfen while half the altmer scheme to enslave the bosmer and khajiit just because they think only high elves are ther "master race", while bosmer size up their neighbors for the cooking pot as soon as they much on a leaf and khajiit often have a somewhat loose understanding of "personal property" or "honesty" or "fair bargains"...

Daggerfall Covenant are fighting because they think their high kings ar... uhm,... royal behind would look best on the ruby throne, and do that by invading bleakrock, bal foyen and stonefalls, where they burn and pillage, murder innocent civilians, ravage schools, use necromancy, and also push the skald king brother to start a civil war in eastmarch... while bickering between themselves, one step away from turning on each other due to centuries of deeply ingrained animosity...

And the Ebonheart Pact... well, may not be up to as much shennanigans in the other alliances lands and are generally fighting to stay free from the subjugation of the other as... uhm... alliances, but the dunmer are still partial to slavery, the nord are still partial to mead, and the argonians are still lizards... no, I mean, still partial to assassination in the name of sithis! And don't really like each other all that much either, as soon as the memories of banding together in face of the akaviri invasion starts to fade...

Each has their bad shades, each have their good shades. As it should be. Pick the ones you like most, and give your characters shades all of their own!

    Daggerfall Covenant
I am a proud AD player but....Daggerfall are the good guys.

AD are pretty full of themselves, as expected for high Elves.. taking a patronising approach to humans. Humans give into daedra and can't be trusted better conquer them.

I think Jorun is a good guy but it is hard to call the ebonheart pact as a whole the good guys, it really seems like a fragile pact based on needing to bind together or get overwhelmed by the other groups. Dumner are willing to do anything to win, that is part of thier culture

Daggerfall are the good guys. Emeric is geniune in his wish for an allance. They believe they are the rightful hiers to the empire based on thier worship of the 8 as such the continuation of the Imperial faith. I feel like that, and being primary human alliance, is quite a good claim. Also people from the Daggerfall quest lines are actually integral to the coldharbour storyline, in particular Darien, but a bunch of others (Skordo and the mage girl argh forgot her name) feature prominentely.

I don't see it, Emeric showed up at that important meeting of the three leaders and promptly dropped his trousers so he could take a big old dump on the map. It could've been the first step towards peace but he had to open his big gob and set the tone for failure. Who knows how many lives could have been saved if they not only would've united their forces in invading Coldharbour, but also by calling for a truce that could have averted further war. If he wouldn't have been such a massive *** this could have been the beginning of peace.

Daggerfall Covenant are the true continuation of the Empire. AD are efficient but despotic and EP are well intentioned but horribly broken. DC has the means to create a unified Empire without placing strict control over every other race.

The Pact is made up of historically mortal enemies, so it's a miracle it's still together.
The Covenant wants to re-live the glory days of the past.
The Dominion wants to truly unite Tamriel under a banner of peace and prosperity. Honor the past, but build for the future,

No real 'good guys.' It's a lesser of three evils situation.

Aldemri Dominion's fundamental principle of high-elf political domination is unsettling, even if the queen ostensibly distances herself from that view at times. Ebonheart Pact excuses slavery under particular circumstances despite being constituted partly of former slaves and is rife with internal tensions. Daggerfall Covenant seems to want a return to stability and relative equality, but pulls some nasty stuff to get there. I guess I'd lean towards the latter, but reluctantly so.

These colors on the voting poll don't match the actual factions.
    EP is Red.
    DC is Blue.

Anyway, EP is fighting for freedom. for each culture to have the right to be left to its businesses and not get involved in others. The only purpose of capturing the throne is to maintain peace NOT to go about conquering everybody.

This is why the Dunmer that joined EP stopped slavery. Slavery is now illegal.
Vvardenfel is not part of the Ebonheart Pact. They refused to join. So they still have Slavery.

The Dominion are the guys who want to enslaver everyone under High Elf rule.

The Covenant are the guys who want to establish the second empire and put a universal economic peace throughout Tamriel (if I'm wrong about DC then let me know)
