    LOL

but aside of jokes, I really like that max mag and regen bonuses, especially the regen one. I was a Dunmer before and I really feel that regen difference, even though it looks small at first glance. However resourceful passive of Argonians in its own right is pretty strong! I just felt like sticking to Altmer, so far have had no problems with stam thanks to Amberplasm alone, no tripots or immov pots.

Also I really like using shock enchant, 4% isn't a big deal but still nice!

I'm on console so I don't have the fully broken one. Just the bar lockout one lol. And when they fix healing ward I'll be in business. I'll throw some clips together tonight and post on here.
What I really like is all these MNB videos and all the builds are different, and play style. Go team MNB .

I'll hopefully make a build video but so far I'm running Seducer+Amberplasm+1 domihaus with Blue food (max hp/max mag) in CP and purple trifood (max hp/ max mag/max stam) in no CP. Since I'm getting so much sustain from my sets, I don't use a sustain food. The mundus stone is also an aggressive one, I'm still experimenting between shadow, mage and apprentice but PVE community are saying that the apprentice mundus gives the best damage output. Inferno/resto, 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy, all impen, inferno either nirnhoned or sharp and resto either infused with weapon damage enchant or defending.

These ofcourse are not *the best* or *the only viable way*, they are just what I enjoy and am comfortable with

I also highly suggest you to pay a visit to KenaPKK's youtube channel and follow his content, can help understanding the class alot.

Hope that helps  and do enjoy! Magicka nightblade is a world of fun, especially in pvp

I do have one question though....and I am not trying to take anything away from the footage here bc it speaks for itself, but are these guys just potatoes or what?

Where are the crit rush, dizzying swing, executioner spams or the fissure stamdens that knock you dead in <2 sec? The biggest struggle I have on my mag NB is keeping up with the pace of some of the other classes. They waste no time in really dishing out the damage and it feels liek ages before I can really set the fight up to go my way with bow proc/ulti and you arent even using an execute!

Any tips on how to control the fight in a way that gives you time to set this up for the perfect combo?

Well first thanks for ur kind words, I appreciate it :)

If you go to 3:02 of the video, I've put up a 1v1 I had with a stam warden there, where I try to survive dizzy-> fissure proc-> dawn breaker -> execute there which is an extremely hard hitting combo, by looking at his foot to see when the fissure is coming, jumping to avoid it and holding block.

There are times that my enemies don't pressure me, yet there are times like 5:50 where Im under a soul assault, meteor and grothdar proc, thats 2 ults and a monster proc.

I generally try to survive by using shadow image, cloaking mid-fight and kiting with cripple and image first, and then blocking and dodging.

Since the heavy meta of one tamriel is over, I try to kite and avoid damage rather than eat it.

Also since Im a vampire I try to keep my max hp high to take more advantage of undeath passive( ppl usually don't care about max hp which imho is a mistake)

Each combo that comes ur way has its own counter, some need blocking and kiting (stam warden) some need dodging or cloaking (crit rush) and some need healing ward (soul assault).

What u are talking about is the part where I use dw, watch the rest as well :) Im not saying Im a perfect player, far from it, but there sure are pressure moments there.

On fight control, what I do is start the fight as aggressive as possible if Im in stealth to give myself initial advantage to make THEM react to me not ME reacting to them, this will let you set the rules of the fight, then play cautiously and counter their combos until my own combo is up then go aggressive again and repeat, is how I do it.

I use execute in builds with low inherent damage. When the build damage goes up, obviously its defenses are dropping down (provided u kept the sustain adequate) then instead of using execute, its time to use defensive and kite abilities like Shadow image, cripple, cloak midfight etc. I prefer to keep the build inherent damage high and rely on abilities and counters to stay alive, this way the class plays smoother and much faster in fights at least for me.

Someone might choose to rely on inherently defensive tanky sets to survive and rely on abilities and execute to land a kill, thats perfectly ok but uncomfortable for me. Matter of personal preference.

Long read, sorry, but hope it helps :)

I don’t think the heavy meta is over. In fact, with zero nerfs hitting heavy armor in the last two patches, and the crazy strength of the passives, I’d be hard pressed to play light over heavy. The penetration bonus’s from light can be made up by CP, and the regen is fairly well covered by Constitution, and siphoning attack’s (and presumably Amber, though you’d need jewels and 2 body, or wpn and body). The hp gains are huge, not to mention the shadow barrier heavy buff. I see a lot of MagBlades running jewels of misrule food. Though perhaps you’ve already experimented with all of these.

By saying the heavy meta is over I didn't mean its bad, I simply meant its a bit more balanced. I myself recently started using heavy armor again, kiting with all the image bugs is problematic and I missed the tanky playstyle of Magblade, I think I even like it more than kiting, it feels better to me.

I actually think ill be sticking with heavy for a foreseeable future.

U are very correct on constitution passive, it is as good as amber, it can be harder to LoS with it but since u are sufficiently tanky with heavy u wont need to LoS as much. Also good point on shadow barrier passive :)

Jewel of misrule is something that I tried long ago but I didn't like it. I tried to see if there is a way with item sets to make up for the loss of max mag by using that food in a way that is overall more beneficial than using max stat food and sustain set. I found though that using max stat food is better at least for me. I could have been mistaken in the math but my finding was that jewel of misrule's loss of max mag makes it undesirable in the end.
