Every category on these forums discuss issues regarding lag, *** load times, and even crashes. It’s hard to believe Bethesda has allowed this. With the talented devs they have, how come they can’t fix these problems? And do these issues effect your choice purchasing future titles from the company?

✭✭✭✭✭Skyrim's bugs didn't prevent me from buying Oblivion or Morrowind, and it won't prevent me from buying the next single player Elder Scrolls game.
As for ESO, admittedly I'm not getting hit with the full round of the latest problems because I'm on PC, but I still enjoy it despite its problems. When I quit enjoying the game for what it is, I'll move on. Its as simple as that. -
PrinceShroob✭✭✭Speaking as a member of the Unofficial Patch Project, reproducibility is one of the first steps of bug-fixing -- particularly reproducibility by the people who're fixing the bugs. Since I'm not experiencing these issues myself, I imagine that there's some other issues involved that makes reproducing -- and fixing -- these issues difficult. When you factor in the wide disparity in operating systems and connections, it becomes difficult to say whether something is entirely a dev's "fault."
Also, I am a rather patient and empathetic person by nature; I just file in-game bug reports in as much detail as possible and am pleasantly surprised when they're fixed. They have been fixed, too, which makes me think that the devs are generally quick to respond to reproducible, well-documented issues. -

I've seen PLENTY of posts by PC players post-CWC update. And before actually. People are constantly having problems with this game on ALL platforms. Just because YOU are not experiencing issues does not mean millions of others potentially are. Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim.... ALL had horrid bugs and cliches , if you didn't get the "Un-Official" patch mods they were crazy to try and play. Heck, Bethesda was famous for being late on release dates and then needing patch's to play after they did release!! Because Todd did them doesn't make them perfect.
BUT, to the point, they ARE the same company. If you have ever watched ESO-Live, they are on the Bethesda Twitch channel, the devs and writers have mentioned many times that they are constantly working together with the Bethesda team.

I sort of feel like this needs more of an explanation because not everyone understands how companies can work organizationally.
Zenimax is the umbrella company. Bethesda and zenimax online studios (zos) are underneath this umbrella. They operate entirely separate of each other although owned by the same organization.
The only games zos has put out and manage are eso and legends, and it's president is Matt Firor. -
Jarryzzt✭✭✭✭I hate to burst anyone's illusory unicorn, but every single MMO forum has a fair number of players complaining about: a) lag; b) bugs and crashes, including those "not fixed for months" making the game "unplayable"; c) where applicable, load times; and d) also where applicable, balancing and matchmaking.
Granted, the proportion is not going to be identical everywhere, not the least since different games have different wrinkles to them and their player bases (to wit, WoW is not the same as D3 is not the same as WoT is not the same as...you see the point). Nevertheless, this is what the Internet is, and does. Only seldom will "forum consensus" accurately correspond to reality; to wit, if one is having a relatively bug-free high-latency experience, they are not likely to start making multiple threads about it over the course of a given month.
Separately, no large and ongoing software project is ever - ever - going to achieve bug-free status. All one can do is keep the issues under control, neutralize the major ones and ensure "95% functionality 95% of the time" for the rest. Welcome to software development.
My personal experience with ESO has been very reasonable from a technical standpoint. Not completely without issues, and I have grumbled about some aspects of the interface more than once, but most of the time I do not have to deal with any significant annoyances. Hence, personally, I do not see why I shouldn't take a serious look at any future Elder Scrolls product, especially given the hundreds of hours I'd also spent in Skyrim and Oblivion. Ditto on the Fallout franchise, by the way, despite the fact that, yes, any Fallout game that comes out in the modern era will have bugs, glitches, et cetera, many of which will not be fixed until well into the Season Pass.
That said, forum threads also suggest to me that some players are experiencing lag, crashes et al. I have no idea what proportion these represent of the player base, and neither does anyone else on these forums, not the least since we have no exact data on the size of the player base to begin with. However, those individuals may take the opposite view on whether to buy the next Elder Scrolls/Fallout/whatever game, or even remain committed to this one. Them's the breaks. -

Again. Zenimax online made this product. Todd and bethesda has barely any hand on it. Also, at least bethesdas games are fully playable, and I ran into no bugs on my 200 hours of just released fallout 4 play, may have been lucky.
Unlike in cyrodiil where players are getting crushing latency. Infinite load screens, and loads of problems. Then of course, animation canceling being a gigantic oversight that will never be fixed or undone cuz doing so would wreck the game. Unless of course, they put in even more penalties for not letting the animation finish out right, but thats a whole can o worms right there. Then ya got CE users, exploiters, and all sorts of problems that if Todd was holding the reins, out of his own pride would have fixed all this right away.
Different teams, different products, different quality of work. Right now bethesda is under fire for skyrim vr and skyrim switch, but at least its fully playable.
