How have transmutation crystals impacted the player economy?

Changing items to desired traits with transmutation stations have been in play for a little while now. Has this had any impact on sales & pricing of other items in a good or bad way for the scope of the player economy?

The two biggest issues I have with ESO are storage and farming times. Anything that will address these issues with the game is a positive impact IMO. (and IMO, the transmute stations do nothing to mitigate the need for more storage, it just very slightly reduces farming times for the item/trait you need)

It has not had any impact on the player economy.

50 is a lot. People are only going to trait change things that are really difficult to grind (i.e. Rare weapons). There may be some lost sales on the high end, but it won't have that much effect on the overall economy.

So far I changed a Moondancer staff to infused and a perfect staff to infused. Both are BoP so my changes had no effect on the economy yet...

The question is on 'economy' - I run 3 trade guilds, have made two trading guides, and can safely say that armour and weapons are far harder to sell. That being said, it is still a nice system to have for many other reasons

you're wrong with that statement, im sitting on arround 300 stones now (geodes in inv included ect) an I've no idea what to do with them.

It depends on how activly you farm the crystalls, and how you farm them (trials, rotw, dailies ect.)

I'm getting new armor pieces and jewelry for 1k in the guild traders! I don't ever remember that. No less than 10k and some trader nerd/geek starts shouting about supply and demand...not anymore.

To be entirely honest, compared to its much-welcome impact on my RNG, I couldn't give a flying, flaming futon about its market impact. I'm not facing the prospect of 40+ runs to get properly traited Ebon gear, like I was for divines netch gloves. If I get an Alkosh 1h&shield or VO dagger and axe, I'm good and done. Retrait those bad boys and slot 'em in. Same with Maelstrom/Master weapons if/when I run those. Once I get the stuff, I'm good. (It may still be craptons of runs, but that's okay.)

Are weapon and armor prices down some? Yeah. But good, proper trait weapons are still 50-100k+ each. The end of the marketing world, it is not.

Everything I've trait changed so far has been BoP. In general these items such as weapons and monster helm/shoulder sets are the ones that are hardest to beat RNG on. For this feature to affect the economy, it would need to be applied to BoE sets. Those are the last things I'd ever trait change because the option to just go buy them and skip the RNG already exists.

I can't see ever wasting this on a BoE armor piece as they just aren't worth that much. It would have to be an extremely sought after weapon for me to bother and off the top of my head I can't think of any that have a current value higher than I personally value 50 transmute stones at. I'd just go buy the weapon instead.

The prices of the highest end items have fallen, and less-desirable traits in good sets have went up a little. Things are just more normalized overall. This is a good thing overall, since there is less grinding all around for everyone.

...now vMA needs to stop giving me 2-handed weapons so I can get something worth transmuting...
