And I don't believe an Addon has the power to do that. At best all they do is mess with the User Interface, making little additions that run off of already existing code and such in the game. ✭yeah its a performance thing, and having a character have two staffs, or two shields on thier back would be cluttered, I think Witcher 3 does it wel- you can see weapons , etc , talismans all there. but this is something that s not going to come unfortunaltely for practucal and technical reasons. -
ShadowDisciple✭✭✭✭They could make different weapon stack. Dual wield and bow for example. If the weapons share same space on the model then it cant be done without being clunky. Would not mind a Dual Wield and Bow /w Quiver. -

Skyrim is, in fact, a different engine.
I know, Bethesda keeps saying, "no, no, really guys, this time we made a new engine." Then it gets released and, turns out, it's still Gamebyro.

Skyrim is a single player game where all of the code is located on your own machine. Mod makers can manipulate almost all files for the game in some way or another.
ESO on the other hand has a lot of code and data that resides on a server. ✭✭✭✭✭I guess if it was designed from the beginning to be done it could have. The question is why didn't they?
Because it is an online game where everyone needs to run the same version of the game, and to help limit the ability for people to create cheats.
MMOs do not work the same way single player games do and it was done on purpose for a good reason.
The add-ons we have for ESO do not modify the game code in any way. They only draw information that is being sent to our clients and any graphical elements are an overlay of sorts on the game.
