Cyrodiil 20% performance improvement

When will the devs do this improvement they were talking about earlier?

Im really tired of getting killed by the air , and walking ... without really getting anywhere just to get killed by a random noob who walks by a few mins later...

Werent the devs supposed to do something about this at the same time with CWC update? Or was it just the loading screens?

Weren't they supposed to concentrate on "fixing" cyrodiil this year? Tick tick for us pvpers, only two months left in the year to fix it lel.

The fact that it's been this bad for so long leads me to believe that either they lack the capability to fix Cyrodiil or lack the motivation to do so. As much as those of us who like PvP deny it, PvP in this game is a niche activity. People going into Cyrodiil doesn't make them any extra revenue. The revenue comes from the hoards of casual PvE players who run around doing quests and buy costumes from the crown store and gamble boxes to try and get those special mounts. I would love to be proven wrong.

My overarching point was more that Cyrodiil itself makes them no extra revenue so they have no incentive to fix it. RPer's who are typically PvE players are the biggest purchasers of these things however.

Sure you do see them. Most of the time, they are 1st to die. There are good players using them as well, but not nearly as much as ppl that are either new to PvP or there just for vigor.

So, offer a cool mount or costume for AvA then have something else (like a matching hat or tattoo) be in the Crown Store. Want the full set, go do AvA. Can do the same for trials, etc. Or maybe some cool motif. Whatever it might be.

Oh, even better. Glamor for things in Cyro like siege weapons or other items from Crown Store meant to be used in Cyro. Just the start of a line of thinking, someone else might pick it up and run with it to an actual good idea..

In over 3 1/2 years they have not been able to fix Cyrodiil. It makes zero sense someone would think Zos all of a sudden figured things out this year.

They have been talking about "fixing" cyrodiil performance for literally years. Really, you have to let it go, they arent fixing it, they would have by now if they could.

It did seem improved but of late I'm not seeing damage telegraphs at all (destro ults etc) and health desync so I'm not sure.

Yeah half the time, the animation or telegraphs of abilities don't even appear on your screen until your character has already suffered the effects.

Anyhow tnx for the replies, looks like not much have changed in cyro since the 2 and a half years ago when i bought the game. I remember it was very bad back then also, which was the reason i never went pvping in cyro for all these years, too much wasted game time watching loading screens...

Since CWC I'm having crazy in lags in PvE. Dungeons and Trials and sometimes even when I'm only fishing Maybe I'll quit raiding for now, can't really play like that.
It's getting ridiculous...

For me performance has increased a lot. I spent quite a bit of time in Cyrodiil, no lags, one loading screen in a couple of days. Only thing that is weird is the lack of sound in big fights, but oh well I can live with that.

I love when people create some *** stats.

By logic it's definitely not the casual who play 2h a day who makes the most revenue but the veterans who play 5-14h a day and wants to brag.

It is always been like that in every single game, I really don't understand the point of lying and saying some *** like that to make a point.

Those are the specs of my friend playing this game, and they still get loading screens.

I have a 1050 titan 4gb
32Gb Ram
and an I7-3820 @ 4,2 ghz

And a Gb connection, and the loading screens are still there in cyro, the pc build has very little to do with those loading screens.

Ironically CwC was supposed to offer performance upgrades. The only way ZoS will see a performance upgrade in this game is if they upgrade their software and hardware. SWTOR is finally breaking down and doing it, and it is far less popular and creating far less revenue than this game. So the excuse of expense does not fly.

Right now the performance is worse overall because of all the PvE players coming in to farm crystals. And who can blame them? It's faster than anything else.

Well they now turn off all sound in cyrodiil.. but seems that doesn't help performance much.. so guess their next "attempt" will be giving you a black screen.
