guard stopping me takes my UI away and makes me unable to do anything

well until I relog that is. It looks something like this:



technically here I am in conversation screen, so I can not move, or do anything.
To explain this bug further, the moment that they yell "halt" at me when I'm on small heat and small bounty, they just about triple my bounty and my heat goes to maximum, meaning the guard starts killing me while in conversation screen. Now even after I'm killed my UI will not come back and I will not be able to move. Reset UI does not work, respawning at wayshrine does not work, the only thing that does work is logging out and back in again.

I've submitted a bug report a few months ago, but I don't know if it was even looked at. Anyone else experienced this? No add ons.

I feel like I saw this topic come up a lot about a year ago, and I haven't seen it again until now. I've never had it personally happen though (PS4).

Yeah, I got nothing else. Sorry. In the meantime, stay away from guards.

So tired of this bug! When a guard accosts me, screen freezes, there's no dialog options, and I can't move. I have to stand there and wait to die. And when I come back, still can't move. Only way to be able to play again is log out, and then back in. Sucks to lose so many valuable motifs / patterns for no reason.

This bug has been going on for years.Can't it be fixed?

this never happened to khajiit and this one she is looking into many foreing pockets very often (for studying purposes of course only).

might be that some of your addons are doing that, have you tried turning them all off and then maybe turning them again back on one by one?

I wish that were the case. This was happening before I even knew what an addon actually was. Thank you for the suggestion, though!
