Feeding mount, the most ridiculous thing in ESO

I have for every character i have to feed my mount for 6 Months everyday to have all stadistics at maximum or buy for the incredible expensive amount of 1000 crones only 10 books.

I don't know if this a totally unfair intentional marketing strategy or what, but i think it is totally RIDICULOUS!!!

I'm fairly certain that this is intentional, seeing as how you can purchase the upgrades in the Crown Store. They are counting on the fact that people aren't going to want to wait 6 months for a fully upgraded mount.

Wouldn’t it be much more meaningful if our crafted food actually leveled the horse instead of the separate daily feeding?

Like...ya know...how food buffs us for minutes to hours, shouldn’t the same apply to our mounts vs being something separate and arduous.
Regarding the micro transactions of this......food makes sense as it’s a crown option

Also, if changed it would could keep the progression aspect to require daily food with the option to expedite maybe 2-5 days of progression based on the level, quality and food type. To me that makes more sense....they can still keep saying the mount upgrades tho

Feeding mounts was something from launch. We haven't had to feed mounts in a long long time.

Riding training should take time. Lots of time. It is part of long term play.

Character is the proper place for this in an RPG as it demonstrates character development, not player development. (There is no player skill associated with riding training)

Back when the game released it actually made sense, because there was a limit for the amount of points you could invest, so you had to think about what you wanted to do with each different kind of horse. Hence why the different horses have different starting stats.

Then they simplified it by giving unlimited points, yet they didn't change the system, but offered packs in the crownstore. It means more crown sales for them. Simple as that.

Show where OP stated where their opinion was more important than others. For historical accuracy.

Also for historical accuracy, mount training sucks but I'm the one that sets an alarm 15 minutes earlier for work than when i didn't play ESO to be able to log in and do all my training daily.

I think it's totally boring. A very uninspiring mechanic.

I like the new system better than the old one; you can level all three attributes; speed, stamina and inventory.

Original system; basic horse had lower starting stats, and you had to decide what you were going for; feed it hay for stamina, apples for inventory, oats for speed. Don't mix the food, otherwise you'd never get the highest stat. Lowest priced basic horse was 10k.

Want inventory space? Come up with 47k gold and buy the brown and white draft horse with the best starting inventory stat, then make sure you feed it the right food to max the inventory. The speed and stamina won't be much. Want a fast horse? Spend another 47k and get the black horse that had the higher beginning speed stat, then feed it for speed. Won't do anything for your inventory though. Want stamina? Yep, come up with another 47k to buy a different color horse, and feed it correctly. One mount wouldn't be maxed in all three attributes. And if you made a mistake and fed your speed horse the inventory food....oh well, sucks to be you. You wouldn't be able to max the stat since you could only feed X number of times.

Now the character is buying training, so any mount can be fast, and have inventory and stamina. Yes, if you don't want to use the crown store it takes time, but a lot less time and effort than the original system did.

There should at least be a “catch up” mechanic to use on alts for those that have maxed all 3 mount stats

In real life it only took me about a week to learn how to ride a horse well enough while it was sprinting

The old system was worst, because i had to have 2 Mounts, one for pve and another for pvp, also not many wasted points in the stamina tree... what i mean, is that ZOS adressed the problem very quick. They realized it was completly stupid and also it would not fit with the later mechanic of put Mounts in the collections panel.

But the question is, if with the easy that is reise a character to 50, that now after lvl 50 all characters share the CP, if makes sense to have to train a mount for 6 moths, to have it ready for pve and pvp?

I think they forgot here something to review.

I've maxed out 6 mounts, deleted 4 of the alts with maxed mounts and not even bothered to feed my Warden's mount

WHAT'S THE POINT ?
