Strangeness of Seht quest - can't find lamp tube

I found all the other components and then the quest area indicators disappear and can't find the lamp tube despite killing everything down there several times. I did think I saw a chevron quest item indicator on the floor near where I got the compressor from one of those little mechanical dinosaur thingies but the indicator disappeared when I got to it and I could pick up nothing there.
Anyone finish that part?
