Provisioning writs still bugged.

I see this is a long standing problem which just makes it more aggravating. Anyway I keep getting tier vi instead of tier vii writs. For a while, if I power cycled my PS4 and then deleted the application saved data for ESO before starting the game, then I would get a tier vii writ. Now even that doesn't work. Three months doing top level provisioning writs and I haven't received a single psijic ambrosia fragment ond have only had a couple of master writs. Argh.

It is unclear to me as to what you mean by "tier vi" and by "tier vii" Provisioning Crafting Writs. The Recipe Improvement passive has six Ranks, and the Recipe Quality passive has four ranks. So a "top level" Provisioning CW would require food with a Rank 6 Recipe, and Rank 2 quality (Fine).

In my experience, all Provisioning Master Crafting Writs require Epic or Legendary quality foods or beverages, which also require either a Recipe Improvement Rank 6 recipe, or one which is from a special group that the ESO Master Recipe List add-on categorizes as Delicacies. They are recipes found mostly in Wrothgar, or which are available during various festivals and other "special events"; they all require Improvement Rank 1, but the benefits "scale" according to the level of the character that uses the food or beverage.

Also, a character who is not a Certified Master Writ Crafter might occasionally receive a Sealed Master Crafting Writ as a reward. However, that has seldom happened. I have two such "alts", but my two "mains" are Certified and, ordinarily, each receives one or more Master writs in their rewards about three times per week. The inclusion of Psyjic Ambrosia fragments tends to swing back-and-forth from none for a seemingly long time, to a few in a short period of time.

What you've described may be a long-standing problem on consoles such as PS4, but I haven't noted any evident anomalies while playing the game on PC NA. Pseudorandom Number Generators are infamous for long sequences of adverse outcomes, and just as infamous for long sequences of beneficial outcomes. I've never experienced one such sequence without eventually experiencing the other. Often the period when beneficial outcomes are equally likely as adverse outcomes tends to be too short, in my humble opinion.

I'm on PC & still get CP50 provisioning writs on a regular basis, despite being maxed out in Provisioning.

It's a pain because you need to keep a heap more food / drink in the inventory than necessary.

Shadowshire, my character is champion 303 level with 6/6 recipe improvement and 4/4 quality provisioning passives. Tier vii and tier vi are the terms used by the many people on this forum who have experienced this problem.

Let me explain more clearly: For I while I consistently got provisioning writs for level 50 cp150 recipes. These reward you with aprovisioning pack vii.
My problem is that I now consistently get provisioning writs requiring level 50 cp50 recipes which only reward you with a provisioner pack vi. This obviously negatively affects my chances of getting master writs etc. as my chances with the pseudorandom number generator have been lessened even before the numbers are generated.

While I am happy for you that you do not experience this problem on PC, your experience on a different platform does not have much bearing on my experience on a console and certainly does not negate it.

didgeodea - I experience the same thing. Two characters doing provisioning writs. The one who is completely maxed out receives tier VI rewards while the one who is level 6/6 in improvement but only 3/4 in quality receives tier VII rewards. Seems broken to me.
