Show Bounty on Character Login Screen?

Is there an add-on that would do this? I'd rather not have to log all the way in to a character to see if their bounty is up. Thanks!

    That would be super nice.
I'm currently doing Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild on three different characters. When one gets a bounty, I switch to my other characters for a while. This would come in handy for me right now.

what you are asking for is a reason NOT to login to play. what if you only have 1 character? then you go do something else.

This is im sure, the opposite of what any game developer wants. personally, i feel its too just downright lazy too.

You just don't want to pay that Bounty fee because you are about the gold aren't you? losing gold takes a toll on a Thief and Murderer.

Why? You are punished for crimes. Deal with it. I'd rather forbid to log on game for those who have the bounty on their head.

Take a breather. Crimes are part of the intended game mechanics. Get over it. Showing bounty on char select would be a nice QoL addition.

Or he might be one of those people who are frustrated at the call for scarce development resources to be spent on something they don't want while no-one ever supports the things they do want and which never attract those developer resources.

Personally, I'm not opposed to the OP's idea even if he is only asking if there's an addon that covers it, but if it was going to be added to the base UI then I can think of lots of other things that would be a better use of developer resources at the present time so I wouldn't want it to be a priority.

For pity's sake, it was a simple question. I wasn't asking for developers to take time to add bounty to the character log in screen, I was asking if there was an add-on.
Per laziness, let me explain. My loading screens take a long time to load. When I log in to a character to check if they still have a bounty, that could easily mean waiting 5 minutes to log the character in, then a couple of minutes to log them out and get back to the character screen to choose another character to log in to. Log in to other character, another 5+ minutes of loading time. To whomever thinks this means I'm lazy, I think you have confused laziness with efficiency.

Sadly I do not know of an addon that shows your bounty while in character selection screen, but I'll ask around in my guilds to find out if there is one!

OP asked for an addon, not for the idea to be in vanilla game. OP also stated that he/she has three characters, so your statement is invalid. And I highly doubt people with only one character will refuse to login and play because they have a bounty. They can still pvp, do dungeons and trials, decorate houses, explore or do quests (just be a bit careful with quests in major cities).

its not invalid because this person has more than one character. they are not representative of every player. why would devs allow that kind of data on that screen knowing exactly what i said to be true, and what addon would work on that screen given theres no UI there? what you doubt doesnt matter in the slightest. its a fact that its something that may stop players from playing. no game developer would do that.

If people don’t want to play, they’re not going to play. Making the game incredibly inconvenient is not going to get people that don’t want to play playing.

In this case, I fail to even see your point. What is the difference between seeing the bounty on the log-in screen and actually logging in to see it? Again, if I don’t want to play, I’m going to immediately log out and go do something else. What is the difference besides it being unnecessarily inconvenient?

As far as I know, there's no way to inject an addon modification into the login screen.

It would be really nice to have a little more statistical info available for a character from the login screen. Stuff like that, or time left on their mount food cooldown. Maybe even time left on currently researched traits.

I wouldn't mind this. Wouldn't mind seeing enlightenment bonus there as well as riding skill timers.

Heck just open informational API hooks only and let the addon developers do all the work.

Again, OP asked for an ADDON doing this, NOT for the idea to necessarily go live. You don't have to play with addons active, nor do you have do download this exact addon. Even if the idea goes live it should be a toggle for people like you who for some reason I don't understand, choose to refuse to play because you can see your bounty in character selection screen.

I'm surprised no one has an addon/website combo set up where you just upload your saved variables each time you logged and it showed all that information.

Not that it would ever happen but that information would also be great as part of a phone app.

As far as I have gathered from add-on discussions, an add-on can't interact with a character's information until the character is logged in, because the add-on can't access the characters data/info that has changed since the character last logged out.

and for an addon to do it, the game has to have the information available for it to use. therefore the game needs to have it. therefore the devs need to implement it.

do you have an issue with comprehension, claiming i refuse to play with a bounty? please, show me where i said that. thats right, you cant. because i didnt say that nor would i not play a character because of one. But hey, im not representative of all the players either. the reason im against it, which is exactly what i said, is that you want a reason to NOT log in. in every game, thats the total opposite of what the devs want. grasp that simple fact if you can and stop claiming i said things i did not.
