Gold Sellers back in zone chat

Nothing seems to get done about bots, how about gold sellers? One popped in zone chat this morning in Alik'r Desert, PC/NA. Yes, I did report the player.

Probably the same one a guildmate of mine spotted in Craglorn. They were reported.

It's been happening more on ps4 NA as well, I wish ZoS would do something about those scrubs. They ruin the game...I report every gold seller that I see spamming chat.

The gold sellers are feeling pressure that ESO population is on the downhill and the prices are dropping exponentially. They want to sell all their stock before one more lame patch lands.

Probably . New Betas are out and anyone on the fence about jumping ship has already dived overboard to try them . Consoles are hardest hit when this happens but pc has been less active in PVP for the better chunk of a year . Less houses for Ingame gold then crowns , most equipment is bop and that leaves little reason for buying gold . Let them starve out .

They advertise their website in zone chat and sell in game gold through the site.

You pay them real money and in exchange they give you gold in game.

Given the overall metrics are actually up... and given that ZOS hasn't been doing anything effective to combat the botswarms, it's more likely they're seeing the opportunity to get back in gear.

They link you to a website where you pay them real world cash for gold in-game. Their method is as follows.

• Creates multiple fake Accounts
• Creates characters with throw away names, usually MagSorcs
• Takes characters to an area that has a lot of Mobs that drop raw Clothing Mats
• Has the characters stand in place constantly Heavy Attacking a mob spawn point
• Has all their characters do this en masse.
• After a long while they collect the probable hundreds upon hundreds of raw mats that drop.
• Refines them all on all characters, getting massive amounts of Dreugh Wax.
• Sells the Wax in bulk for tons of Gold, massing millions.
• Advertises this Gold in Zone Chat for people willing to pay real money for it.
• Sells the Gold through a third party website for Cash
• Repeats and continues the process.

DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF. We will not hesitate to report you since this is a Bannable offense.

All the tools are there for Zos to fix this problem except the main one necessary, Live GM's on at least during peak hours. Without a GM on staff, nothing they will try will matter in the long run.

GMs have to be paid, and I don't think ZOS is willing to do that.
I remember when ZOS cared, the bot problem was destroyed quickly after pc launch.

Zone chat is always the first channel I turn off. The only thing it's used for is spam anyways...

I haven't seen one on PC since May or June 2014.

On PS4 NA they're always in zone chats. It's rare that I travel to Stormhaven and don't see them.

Seen my first one or two on Xbox EU the last few weeks.sham you can't flag or report from chat. Having to go manually type their name into a report is that degree of effort too fat to bother (also knowing it won't do much)

They're EVERYWHERE on PS4-NA at the moment. Is there a limit to how many accounts we can add to our block list? Because I'm seriously starting to get concerned that a time will come when I'm unable to remove that cancer from my screen.

I always try to sell 1 gold for 4 gold in zone chat but it usually doesn't work out.

Had not seen any since 2014 on PC/NA, until 6 days ago.

Just noticed these gold sellers popping up. Apparently they are from Russia and steal account information from people who buy their gold so they can hack and resell the accounts.
