Last night was special...memorial ride for GrandpaSTS

Last night I witnessed a beautiful thing--Players coming together across all factions (xboxNA) to pay and show respect for Grandpa STS, an ESO pvp'er who recently passed away. For those of you who didn't know, GrandpaSTS was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He was always in our guild chat making us laugh. He brought joy to us everyday. He was a good guy, and a good friend. He was always in a cheerful mood. He was terrible at muting his mic...much to our entertainment. Here our guild takes a moment to recall some of our best GrandpaSTS moments.

A memorial ride around all the emp keeps was organized yesterday. We met up around glademist and prepared to start the long ride around cyrodil. A few AD players had ridden all the way out here to gank people. They were killed...but not all of the AD players had ill intentions. Some of them were there to join the ride. Unfortunately they were killed as well. Sorry bout that :/

meUQsUG.jpg

A few EP players met up with us at the next keep. They were standing there, all using the salute emote, as we rode past. They then joined with us for the rest of the ride. That would've brought tears to GrandpaSTS...
Sl5RDcL.jpg

There were so many people who joined. The lag was insane. The AD players with good intentions were revived and welcomed into the ride. The server would freeze and drop 20+ of us at the same time. But ah, no worries, that's just cyrodiil for ya...lol.

GrandpaSTS loved pvp. Knowing how many people came out for him, including players from other alliances...all of this would've made him so happy.

Thank you everyone for making last night so special.

We will always miss you GrandpaSTS.

Something like this is definitely touching. But it doesn't stop me from thinking about all the other potential long time players of the game who may have passed away over the years unnoticed.

That truly is a lovely way to honour a fallen ESO'er, thank you for sharing this. My condolences to you, your Guild, and all others who knew him - he must have been a wonderful person, and this is more than a fitting tribute to recognise that.

Thank you for sharing with all of us, I'm sure where he is at that brings a smile to his face the respect shown

Dad’s of Destiny did something like this. A memorial for a fallen friend and clan member. These people in our guilds become our friends and for some they become part of an extended family. My thoughts go to you and your guild mates.

I've been in ESO since it launched on the PC/Mac in April 2014 — I am currently on the PS4 — and events like this never cease to amaze me. It's a wonderful way to remember a lost guild mate.

It renews my faith in humanity, too. And after recent events, it's much needed. Focus on the good, ladies and gents, focus on the good.

I've had to cope with guildies going in the past. It's nice to see things like this done for those who have fallen.
