TBS not maintaining double mundus

When switching from a bar that has the 5 piece twice born bonus to a bar that only has the 4 piece we lose the double mundus (rightfully so), but then we don't get the second mundus back when switching back to the 5 piece bar.

Is this intended?

I would like to reason that the standout quality of TBS is its flexibility which is currently hindered in this state.

Yes it is intended and worked like that since TBS was added.

Yes, that is the intended function. Anytime you lose the 5-piece bonus of Twice-born star, whether through bar swapping or unequipping an item, you have to reacquire your second Mundus Stone.

To make sure it isn't a problem, you want Twice-Born Star on your armor pieces only. That does make it slightly more limited than most crafted sets but also guarantees that you won't lose your 2nd Mundus stone.

It's intended but incredibly annoying, esp when you have to run back to the same mundus everytime you change your loadout

This is why I don't use TBS. No idea what ZOS were thinking. They probably just weren't.
