I asked a couple days ago for test data on this and no one bothered to share or post anything substantial so I figured i would test it myself and share the results.

    Thank you for the video!

Link was broken, but I did search the video on YouTube since it interests me.

So basically, it's not worth it (especially from a 1v1 standpoint) unless you spend heavily into the tree. I had like 5 leftover points which I put in there on my magblade, but I guess 5 points doesn't do much. It was also interesting to see that a new one doesn't stack/override the existing debuff.

    Thanks for the info!

Even if a player spends 100pts for the full 15% one efficient purge removes this and then reduces the effect of this by 50% for 8 seconds, so you would be totally wasting CP for 7.5% reduction to regen. I can't find a use for it in group pvp unless you were trying to kill a regen tank and even then I doubt it would have any measurable effect.

It’s such a bad idea. It’s useless as it stands now and if they did make it useful it would be the cp version of cost poisons which we really don’t need.

It's a useless star to stack in. Even on paper, 10% of 2100 is 210 Regen. But you will have traded 20% reduction on block/break free due to the points involved in order to remove a little more than 1 Regen glyth.

It's only good if you have not enough points to push a percentage in another star but aren't using any defile sources.

I use 1% in it to give templars and purgebots something else to purge instead of more important debuffs.

As for sinking more points into Siphoner, that's really only useful in duels. The only other green star worth sinking points into in duels is Befoul, so you're definitely able to spare a lot to spec into Siphoner for 1v1s. Open world, not so much.

Though the best Templars only purge when your stuck by an immobilze+ cost reduction poisons. I usually try to let the debuffs happen unless I need to purge

    Really huh?
So you don't care about the claw doing increased dmg, or the bleed that ignores everything, or the heal debuff or the curse/fury, or the PotL + curse + fury + bleed that you can't let on you, or the ect., etc., etc.?...

Or the fact that you can have all of them at once and the cost increase + root?
And Purify purges....The burning/poisoned that I don't really care about! Ty!
    ;)

I care that they can reapply everything and stay offensive while I'm stuck on defense. I'm picky with how I use it lol.

For bleeds I drop restoring rune. Minor protection buff helps out more since the ignoring of resists boost your total mitigation a bit higher. If you start jabbing, some of those heals are coming back to offset. Also 18%-20% thick skin reduce bleeds just enough.

For sorcs curse, I usually wait till it's about to hit and I wait till three are at least 5 debuffs to maximize the efficacy of the spell. But its risky play but I found it helps ruin their burst setup. I worry more about their execute.

Hate cost poisons. Those are the first to go lol. But never until I have 5 debuffs.

I try to use forward momentum for snare removal (if it's unlocked on my toon :( ). The spell costs only 2.2k Stam and removes all the snares/immobilze stacks.

Point being, the moment you start obsessing over the debuffs, you'll never get out of being in defensive mode. And then what's the point?

    Exactly!

Though sometime I feel dirty adopting anti-templar strategies :naughty:
