Game crashing on an existing character Can a ZoS Dev take a look at this please...

Hello, my game keeps crashing every time I log in on my main. I deleted all add-ons, as I thought mabie this was the cause. But the game crashed after that was done. I seem to be able to keep the game up on the template character, but with the provisioning bug I really dont want to proceed.

I have the same problem on all my existing toons.

It is also happening to template toons, I cannot test anything on the pts because of this, can we get some more information or is there another thread concerning this?

where is the effected character located?

Ingame it doesn't matter where, at a house, in stormhaven, vardenfel, etc.

Try cleaning out the PTS SavedVariables folder and delete the settings file and the baked shaders file before starting the game ...

Yep deleted all that stuff, removed any settings logs, the whole nine yards, still crash on my main.

I am having the same problem on my main. All addons are disabled. I was able to play for a little while on PTS release day, but got a crash to desktop when I reached a certain point in Vivec city. Now I get a CTD a few seconds after every login. It doesn't seem to happen to any of my other 8 characters, just my main.

Edit: I stand corrected. I was just able to reproduce the bug on another character by riding my horse back and forth near the same spot (see image below). I had just stopped my horse before getting the crash.

My main is in Vivec City, right in front of the little bald banker guy. I havent tried to log in on any other toons. And no worries SirAndy, it was worth a shot! Ill try to do a repair from the launcher. Mabie that will help.

FYI, I was able to get both characters logged in by immediately dismounting as soon as logged in and then running forward out of the glitched coordinates.

Unfortunately, after enabling addons and then trying to retrieve some items from the banker assistant, I got a stack overflow exception and another crash, this one without a reporter. I tried to save the dump file from Visual Studio, but it failed with an "Invalid pointer" error.
