Need advice on Pricing PC EU

Not sure if this breaks any forum rules... hopefully not. I don't know how to price an item. MM/TTC has no data and I went through every guild store in Rawl'kha, Belkarth, and Mournhold only to find that purple Hlaalu/Redoran/Telvanni plans are so rare they don't exist in guild stores. I want the price to reflect the rarity, but I also kind of want it to sell in a few days, maybe a week. Any advice?

Just slap a big ish price on it and see if any idiot rushes to buy. Look at other stupidly priced new recipes (purple furniture new content stuff) and work from there.

it's gonna be a ridiculous price because I also wanna be able to craft stuff eventually and the only way to find these is if you farm it yourself, which is also ridiculous

If you have been playing the game for more than a year with MM running and you have been in trade guilds for most of that time, and you come across an item that you have no price for, it is for one of two reasons. The items not desirable at all, or it worth north of 100K. Usually.

If is something new to the game, then there is no shame in listing it for an absurd price as someone out there with more gold than time will buy it. Although I would look at TTC and list in the lower end of the prices if you want it to move anytime soon.

My thought process somewhat changed. I will consume the item. If it costs around 500k, that much I can make in 5 days, but it took me 30+ days of constant pickpocketing to find just this 1 purple plan.

Think I would list it for 700K or more possible 950K, at least for 4-5 days, even at 550K they sells fast.
