Character missing/ unable to connect on the right server

My friend just cam back to the game, he bought morrowind expension then install the game and loged in.

But his character was nowhere to be found....and i didnt saw him connected in my friend list when he created a new one. It seems he's on the NA server even if EU server is enabled.

We tried this method : Go into Launcher settings, change to NA and then change back to EU and do a repair, this fixed it for the people I know having this issue.

There is a way to know for sure if you are logging on to NA or EU. Go to:

J:\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client

Of course your directory letter may be different, but in this folder there is an .xml called "Platforms.xml". If you open this you will see:

Make sure your realm_service_url and login_service_url are both "https://live-eu-services.elderscrollsonline.com". If not then you are logging on to the NA server.


Except that we dont have the option in the launcher to change server, has to be done ingame..anyway it does not work after several repair and he is still on the NA server even if he choose EU.
