Delete bad players, please.

Did someone say delete WGT? Ok, this gave me an idea. How about deleting bad players? Let's say the worst 5% players every month that is calculated based on dps vs. dungeon and raid bosses.

Most importantly,
  1. this only applies to players that enter dungeons and raids, so the casual overland player is not affected,
  2. this only applies to players over CP300, so new players (and I think we are being generous here) are not affected.

So what happens to the tourist that just wants to experience the story of a dungeon or raid without contributing in any meaningful way? There should be an option for the party leader to mark a player as "tourist," which allows this player to be exempt from any dps obligations, thus protecting them from deletion based on the run.

Obviously, healers and tanks are not affected by this, only damage dealers.

So, eventually we have a bunch of tanks and at least half of them bad with only the top 10-20% of the DPS remaining. So, if you cannot pull, maybe, 35k DPS on a test dummy you are outa here. May take a few months but it will be coming.

OP is might just be a tank or healer and does not want to worry about being cut.

Really seems short sighted. Granted, OP is probably not serious, but still, an absurd idea to post.

Yes, there are, but they tend to be kicked if the party can't do the run, so they stop doing that.

It sounds absurd. But think about it. We are talking CP300+ damage dealers, who couldn't be bothered to l2p in the probably 300+ random dungeons that you can run before reaching this CP level. While they are ruining 3 other players' experience. So I get it, I might sound evil on the surface but is this really that unreasonable?

Well, that actually gave me an idea. Not deletion, but a ranking system that allows you to give marks to players at the end of the dungeon, 1-5 stars. Queue positioning should be based on rating so a player with good rating gets to be picked before one with bad one. Over time people who have a bad attitude and/or bad play style and don't want to improve will get picked less often in random groups.

Wont work out. Is to easy to bypass or even buy ratings. Imagine all the needy social guilds handing out free stars at the end of a normal run w/ one carry and 3 newbies.

Sounds good. Let's say a player is considered a novice until CP160. They can't be ranked yet, because they are only learning. After CP160 ranking is turned on and goes into effect.

You can simply put that rating in place just for solo queue in order not to allow easy rating farming.

Would work out decently until salty baddies started 1-starring the whole group when they realized they were pulling 10% of the dps. I like the ranking idea conceptually, but the game doesn't have the population to support it with queues as long as they already are.

Had to boot a cp160 yesterday from FG2 because he wouldn't stop using ice staff. Even after we told him we were losing dps because he kept pulling him out of lightning and having to kite. UGGGGGGG tried to explain ice and aggro he wouldn't listen. We warned him, but he wouldn't listen, so he got the boot.

Isn't it ironic that the most opinionated people are always those that are playing their first MMO. According to my concept of open-minded, you are closed-minded. Why do you think you already know everything and you've already seen everything, while in fact, you've just started out in the genre? And yet, you are so self-certain and entitled that you think you know everything best. In every thread. No matter who you're talking to.

This is why rules and regulations are in place in every field of life, because the average person can't be trusted to do the right thing.
