Launcher Broken?

The play button won't work for me. I've tried repairs, patching, running as administrator, turning firewall off, uninstalling the game completely, and reinstalling. Still, nothing works. When I patch or repair, I get error 1005 saying it couldn't complete because of permissions or files in use. Like I said, I have tried everything under the sun that I can think of, but nothing fixes it. I just get the play button and I can press it repeatedly, but the game never starts.

Anyone else having this issue?

Ahhhh! So I am not the only one! Yeah, seems absolutely nothing works after this patch. I can't think of anything more that I can do at this point.

I have been getting this error for about a year now. Every time they do an update the launcher won't work properly. You push the play button but nothing happens. When you got to "repair" you are met with error code 1005. Starting the launcher in administrator mode is supposed to be the fix but it doesn't help. You just have to keep trying to repair over and over and eventually it will repair the whole thing and the play button will work. Usually about 5 or 6 repair attempts. About an hour of fun...

Once you've installed any patch you should be able to run the game direct from the .exe file in the game folder, assuming we're talking non-Steam PC version.
