Looking for Advice (Hire Guild Merchants)

Hi guys, and gals.
I'm not sure where this should be so I will take no offence if it gets locked or anything however, I have this guild I have been trying to get us a Merchant in various towns placing "Bids" week after week for "Only Lord Dagon" knows how LONG and every week I'm out bid and its' usually the same set of "Guilds" that takes it.
Now I for one, have been looking and cannot find what amount the "other" guy placed as a bid so I don't know what I should be setting as my bid. Next, and you're probable gonna love this or it may sound familiar but last Sunday I went to place an updated "Bid" and the clock said I Had 5 minutes left, I went out of that command to check on something really quick thinking I have time, and it was only 6 or so seconds for me to do what I wanted then speak to the merchant again to update my bid and it said bidding was over. Imagine my reaction.
So I was wondering if anyone has sound advice how to get a public Guild Merchant because this weekly bidding is just so unfair and unjust. Personally I rather just spend real money to buy Crowns to buy a permaguild merchant stand so my guild will have a public guild merchant in town forever, but unfortunately we all know that this doesn't exist and more than like never will. Is there add-ons for auto bidding? What am I doing wrong?

First, I totally sympathize with you on this. For someone new to bidding it can lead to pulling your hair out!! Lmao!
Location dictates bid price range.
Outlaw Refuges= 35k to 75k gold a week approx.
Small "out of the way traders" can go for 50k to 100+k
Med and good town spots (Shornhelm, Ebonheart, etc), can go from 200k to 750k per week.
Prime spots, Mournhold, Rawl, etc, go for 3million to 7 million gold a week....
Yup..... That much...
So, if you are losing your bid regularly, just keep uping it till you find that "Hiring Level".

Thank you for that. This makes a whole lot of sense, how do I learn of these prices? Is there a forum or an add-on that shows me the bids or is it basically word of mouth or based on your experience?
