Question about weapon trait changes to overland sets

So i know that you wil need to the key things to actually use the trait change but my question is can you use it on any weapon?

Im asking because i been tryjng to get war maiden precise or sharpened swords but haven't seen any under 250k on xbox.

So i was thinking i seen a couple bad traits in guild trader for 30k, if i buy that will i be able to change it to precise when trait change comes?

I only plan on doing it for these 2 weapons so im sure il get what i need to be able to do it and im 9 trait crafter on almost everything

So what it be good idea for people to invest in expensive weapons by buying bad traits and waiting for patch? ( if they are patient enough )

You can literally save over 100k gold easily on each weapon. And im guessing eventually every trait will be expensive since people can change them

Yea you will be able to change it, they said all armor and weapons and said Dungeon, vDSA, vMSA and Trials were included, if something as rare as those weapons can be then overland can be, if not it would be really really really stupid.

Yes you should be able to change it if you can change vma weapons.
A better question may be what will be nerfed in that update, you may end up not wanting that set anymore..

Who knows... it might actually cost more to get the crystals than to just buy the weapons in the traits you want... we'll all just have to wait for the PTS to get any semblance of a clue...

I think every items will become cheaper because they can be changed. The current expense is because of the rarity. Of course, this really depends on drop rate and crystal cost per change.

I really hope it doesn't work like this, but I had a thought about the system last night. What if the trait change costs more crystals the higher quality an item is? I just have a bad feeling they are going to do something stupid like that. This would effectively make green bad trait items worth a lot more than purple bad trait items. Again, I really hope it doesn't work like that.
