Trolling my wife: Fast ultimate build

Hey everyone! So, I'm helping my wife farm for gear in dungeons (we're two-manning them) and she absolutely hates when I use Dragon Leap... because it spreads the enemies. I'm trying to come up with the fastest way to pop Dragon Leap to annoy the hell out of her. So far, here's what I've got:

2 Bloodspawn (15 ulti from proc)
5 Akaviri Dragonguard (reduce ulti by 15%)
3 Blessings of the Potentates (reduce ulti by 10%)

If I choose Take Flight, it's slightly cheaper than Ferocious Leap. (110 ult vs 125 ult)

My question is this: What weapons would you suggest to complete my setup? I was thinking of:

-Master's 2H decisive (the Master's 2H actually buffs "Carve" which gives you minor heroism)
-Dual wield two decisive weapons (I don't think there's any other way for faster ulti gain with DW)
-SnB with a decisive weapon and using Heroic Slash
-There's nothing for a bow except using a decisive trait

Any input would be greatly appreciated! (By me... not her. She'll probably hate you for it.)

Mind that with S&B you only have one 'weapon' trait slot, so the 2H and carve should give you the most theoretical generation :p

Maybe switch out Potentates for Werewolf Hide or Tava's + Shuffle?

Also, be sure to cast an Earthen Heart ability (Igneous Shield) every 6 seconds while in combat.

If you are going more Magicka oriented then Alteration Mastery is good for 6% reduction.

Sword and Board is probably better for your purposes since it allows you to go 5+5+2, but if you go Werewolf Hide then you can have it with a 2H on your front bar while generating your ultimate, and have Dragonguard on your back bar for when you cast Take Flight.

Heroic Slash + Invigorating Drain spam during the duration with that setup = enough ult gen to overlap Greater Storm Atronachs and Sturdy Horns from the same player.

Tavas is the best ultigen available as long as you have some mobs attacking you. If you are taunting it'll give you the best gen. Its gr8 with dragon and craftable, so easy to make the weapons.

Invigorating drain from the vampire line also generates 5 ultimate per tick of the channel. If you combine tavas, dragonguard, minor heroism, decisive, and vamp drain, you could probably get a leap off every 5-8 seconds or so (or about the length of a CC cooldown on the mobs).

Shalk is a waste if you use the 2H ability Carve or the 1H/S ability Heroic Slash. They all grant the same buff, minor heroism.

For max ult gen on a DK, I would go with 5pc Tava's Favor, 5pc Werewolf Hide, 2pc Bloodspawn. And use decisive trait on your weapons.

I don't think cost reduction is very efficient since take flight is so cheap to begin with. Although that depends on how the percentages are applied. How much does your ultimate cost with Akaviri and Potentates?

Also, as mentioned above, invigorating drain is a must have. 5 ult per second is too good to pass up.

How often do you really Dodge an Attack?

I have not used Tava's so maybe it procs more often than I think it would.

You can force the proc by taunting all the mobs and roll dodging. Even with Shuffle, you'll have a pretty high chance to dodge an attack with multiple mobs attacking. In my experience, it procs often on my pve tank.

The only problem with Tava's is it doesn't synergize very well with Bloodspawn. Their requirements for proccing contradict each other.

I'm trying to come up with the fastest way to pop Dragon Leap to annoy the hell out of her.

I admire your commitment to trolling. Your sets look pretty ideal but I just wanted to mention an alternative that might be slightly better for ulti-gen if you can teach yourself to either barswap very regularly (twice every 3 secs) or to hardly barswap at all.

If you dropped bloodspawn, and equipped one sword of the dragonguard and one shield or sword of the potentates (or vice versa) then you could have the-25% ulti cost off of your dragon leap bar. This would still give you 4 body slots and your front bar weapon, so you can equip a 5 piece ulti-gen set like Tava's blessing.

You need to be on your tava's bar almost all the time for it to outperform bloodspawn so you would make that your main damage or tanking bar. If you are tanking on your tava's bar then also equip one weapon of the dragonguard in case you need need warhorn or some such, or use the vMA/vDSA tanking weapons with a tava's shield. If you are DPS on your tavas bar then two-handed seems a good fit, the main advantage of two-handed is the onslaught ultimate which returns the ultimate cost if you kill an enemy - so you can use your two-handed ultimate as an execute and still have plenty of ultimate to annoy your (poor) wife.

Shalk is nice in PvP on magicka characters tbh (if running in a group). On my magwarden I run:

    2 Bloodspawn

I can spam healing ticket once every 12-13 seconds during pressured fights. GG ;)
