Khajiit 2h Templar or DK

Heya!

Recently got back into playing and I've been agonizing over playing either a Dragonknight or a Templar as a Khajiit.

I'm not after the most powerful build but I'd like something that's fun to play, can go with either full heavy or at least two pieces of heavy (Khajiit heavy helmets <3) and works reasonably well with 2h swords.

My knowledge of builds is admittedly painfully limited, I've narrowed it down to DK or Templar simply because they seem more fitting to the warrior sort of theme I'm aiming for.

Templar I like because if I feel like it I can go be a healer, or a tank or a DPS but I worry that it's a bit dull as classes go and I'm not really super keen on the Aedric Spear stuff.

DK I like because some Khajiit just want to watch Tamriel burn. Also because it's pretty nifty as classes go and is really good for tanking if I want to prance about in heavy armour (with S&B if I get serious about tanking).

From an RP point of view I'm leaning slightly towards Templar but TBH I could make either work for a Khajiiti knight.

So yeah any suggestions or such would be appreciated.

The biggest difference is that with dks, you have a 40% buff to heavy attacks and with templars, you have a class spammable. I have a cat temp, though I use daggers, she does okay. I really like jabs.

The sets you use are going to be different based on whether you want to be more tanky or more DPS-y, but for a well rounded, solo build I would recommend doing 5 heavy armor pieces. You can do helmet, body, legs, boots and shoulders. Those will net you the most armor, then you can do the belt and gloves in 2 medium or 1 light 1 medium with the Undaunted passives. This is a general rule so it's irrespective of the class you choose.

I feel like you're going to want to be a DK (I love my Khajiit stamDK). Templar as you mentioned is a bit boring as a stamina-based warrior. It doesn't have a whole lot going on outside of weapon line abilities, since most Templar abilities outside of jabs and repentance are magicka based. DK has many skills that compliment a warrior build more readily.

See about getting a set of Hunding's Rage made, it's going to be the best thing to start out with. For whatever 5pc you use for your jewelry set, you're going to have a lot of options that revolve around how you ultimately choose to play. Feel free to PM me for suggestions.

Templar has a crit based DMG passive, DKs do not.
So the extra weapon crit chance, means your Templars extra 10% crit DMG will be used more.

But I'd imagine someone people use the cat passive to add crit chance to the DK. Something not to ignore.
