"Make maximum" option.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here, but why is there no option in crafting (especially provisioning/Enchanting) to make a 'Max numer' of items.

Say I have 100 Game, 100 radishes, and 100 garlic ans I want to make Hammefell Antelope Stew.

Why do I have to press X 100 times? Why not just 'make max' and the game makes the maximum amount possible with the available ingrediënts? The game already tells you how many you can make anyway? Or even better, a slider like the 'Split Stack' slider. Press 'Make amount', and it shows the max you can make, and if you want to make less just move the slider to the numer you need.

There are addons for that. The funny thing is you can get booted from the server for spamming if you use them for greater numbers than 100 or so, and it may result in a suspension as well. I agree it should be a function of the base UI, but we all know that one is missing many functions it should have.

Use a proper program to Macro R key with 2sec interval (random-able inv is better as of ^ post). Timed to (the amount you want)/4*2secs.

e.g 400 items you will need 100 clicks on R. So 200secs to make em. Set a timer.

Mechanical way to resolve this problem is beyond complication...

If one has invested in all the relevant passives, it is only 25 clicks!

I can cope with that. o:)

You do understand though that macro's aren't permitted...

In this case, the API supports you setting up multiple crafting cycles at once.

What's legitimately annoying is there's no way to batch produce consumables. I mean, if I want to sit there and make 100 Double Bloody Maras, I need to actually sit there and either set an addon to produce 25 batches, or manually press the key to do so 25 times. Which chews up time to no real benefit.

I mean, I get why this is the way it works, it's just annoying.

No, it's still 100 clicks. You just end up with 400 dishes.
