[Shadow of the Red Mountain Set] proc shoots at neutral mobs [EU/PC]

New volcano effect for Shadow of the Red Mountain Set initially looks fun, but actually it's not

The actual bug: it shoots at neutral monsters (probably it may shoot at neutral NPCs too, but I can't confirm it yet), which contradicts with description.

Below there're is video, where I killed a lone wolf in my usual harvest run, and then I was forced to fight 3-4 poor mudcrabs, because while one mudcrab dies another volcano pops up and shoots at the next mudcrab. Sorry, it's in first-person view, and I didn't understand what's going on at that moment:

You can call it phobia, but I don't want to quarrel with mudcrabs, pls! No one knows what can crawl out of sand next time )

P.S.

And please consider the following:

1) In first-person view these volcanos obscures a view when popping up in front of the player. And they obscures hearing (and presses on nerves) if you are sneaking in a dangerous place.
But it's a not a big deal compared to the next one

2) It unpredictably shoots around, drawing player into trouble.
"At the nearest enemy", but in my experience it's rather the enemy previously unawared of my presence, somewhere out of sight.
Probably a bug, but this does not contradict the description.

Last time when I tried accurately shoot off mobs group-by-group with a bow, I immediately found myself drawn into mass fight with whole damn cave in the delve. It was fun at cp200+, but for a lower level player it's rather respawn.

This morning I died two times on Imperial City map, when I got attention from tough mobs at wrong time - because of this proc.

I consider this as a serious flaw for a medium gear set, which makes the set an undesirable choice, at least for solo player.

Pls, find a way to redesign it.
Thank you

I've also had problems with the Red Mountain proc shooting at any mob in range regardless of whether it is aggro'd or not.

    I have also noticed that...

The proc sometimes goes off with Endless Hail regardless of whether any damage is being done or not. If you shoot Endless Hail at an empty piece of ground, with no mobs anywhere near, then most of the time Red Mountain will proc once or twice while the Endless Hail is active.

The proc will shoot mobs through floor/ceiling. This happened to me in Nchuleft. I was on the lowest level and fired Endless Hail. There were no mobs on my level. Nevertheless Red Mountain proc'd and shot through the ceiling a couple of times, hitting mobs on the floor above (the damage done was reported from these hits by in-game floating text).

They simply grabbed the functionality from the HotR Minotaur attack (just pumping out 1 blob). My guess is it won't get fixed because it would take too much work and they still haven't decided to take a year off to polish and make the base code more robust.

It's look like just algorithmic bug:
    - on damage deal: volcano is triggered, animation started
    - damage implemented, target dies
    - target for volcano is selected: among non-friendly with priority of original damage target, all others are ranged by distance

The last stage must be the second one & "non-friendly" must be "enemy only"

However, how simply it can be corrected, that's a question

Yes, this is annoying as hell. Was not an issue with the original proc mechanics. Now, if it procs as an enemy dies, the fireball goes and aggros additional NPC's. Makes running dungeons a challenge as my main mantra is "you pull it, you tank it." Sucks when, after combat, it pulls a group of mobs 2 rooms away (through walls). NPC's not in combat should be invalid targets for the proc.

This set does appear to have been ruined.

It seems to just agro anything in range, through walls or being neutral. So rather than help in a fight as it did before it now just agros things and pulls me into fights constantly.

Thanks all, we'll see if we can fix this so it ignores mobs you're not actually in combat with.

Its not limited to PC/EU. It happens on PC/NA as well.

The proc likes dragging me into fights with mobs just around the corner or out of sight because they were the "next closest" target and my main target isn't close enough (like when sniping an enemy NPC you do have in LoS and the proc hits an enemy just on the other side of the wall).

Yep, the fix would be for all servers, not just PC EU.
